I have seen WHY? in concert 5 times. i was a big fan when he was in "Greenthink" with Dose One in the late 90s. that was some incredible independent hip hop.

I even liked the "cloud dead" LP's that they put out.

The new WHY? albums are hard for me to get into

I'm not saying you can't listen, I guess I just don't understand why you would.
Because I think it's a kick ass song regardless if the singer wants to dress up as a girl. I'm sure it was a good PR move for him, what's more punk than that?

How can you not be invested in the music you listen to? You can say you don't care for the "singer's politics" when Against Me! is essentially a punk band?

I think "The Fake Sound of Progress" by Lostprophets is a damn near perfect album. The singer was convicted of child sexual abuse 12 years later. I can't listen to a second of it without wanting to reach down the throat of Ian Watkins and rip his lungs out for what he did. And what he did ruined a band for me in my opinion. Everything I had of their I deleted. It damn well matters.

We listen to music because we love it and you get wound up in the message/politics/atmosphere of the band whether you like it or not. Who listens to punk rock without getting in on the meaning? Apparently only Night Train.
