Yeah, you took me, naive and ugly
Into your festering heart
And you poured Eros maggots
Down my throat until I choked
There's nothing darker than love
That's gone sour
Interesting choice. How do you feel about the lead singer's transition and vocal fight for trans equality? I would have thought you wouldn't be a fan since, you know, their radical progressive values are anathema to yours.

That probably explains why I was getting Pride playlists suggested to me on Spotify for a while there.
I don't care about the singer's politics, I didn't really even know about the guy until this morning when I saw some video links with the video. I didn't know I had to agree with musicians for me to enjoy their music, didn't know I had to subscribe to their ideology to enjoy a guitar riff. I mean, I don't like satanic iconography either, yet I like Iron Maiden and shit like that from time to time too. I don't get fucksticks like you, you tell us we need to be more inclusive and leave our comfort zone from time to time, and when we do you say 'You can't do that, what about your ideals nyaaaaah"
I apologize in advance if what I just said offended or upset you.
The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

I'm not saying you can't listen, I guess I just don't understand why you would.

Because I think it's a kick ass song regardless if the singer wants to dress up as a girl. I'm sure it was a good PR move for him, what's more punk than that?

I didn't see anything posted on here back in May when Frightened Rabbit lead singer Scott Hutchison took his own life, so maybe that means people aren't familiar with his band. In tribute, here's the first track I heard from them back in 2008 or so:

Absolutely spot on. Most people prefer troublegum, but I prefered Infernal Love. It was like that awkward second album (or at least album after their breakthrough) and they just went so dark with most of it.
Self praise is no praise. But i am pretty great...

It’s definately a darker, more mature record. I just didn’t think the band was as good at that as they were the power-pop/punk thing on “Troublegum.” But I still thought it was cool.

Im really surprised they made it across the 'pond'.
The best anecdote i have about them was apparently the lead singer overheard some music execs talking about them.
They are really talented. Shame they'll never make it as the singer is such a fat bastard

And in case anyone else is following this conversation, here's an example of their previous material to illustrate Iron's point about moving to in a pretty dark direction.
