Awesome! Can't wait to hear it!

I have to say I was a bit mixed on 10,000 Days when it first came out but some of the best Tool songs are on that album, Rosetta Stoned might be my favorite Tool song. I've heard that every song in this album is supposed to be around 10 minutes long, should be interesting.

They played a couple of new songs at a gig the other day. There is a load of bad quality youtube videos out there.

Still hyped for the album, but the 'new' songs just feel like a rehash of there old stuff. There were numerous riffs they have done before :irked:
Self praise is no praise. But i am pretty great...

I was the same way, but had kind of slipped away from listening to them after Lateralus. I had a heard a few songs off of 10,000 Days, and was just kind of meh on it. Then, I had heard Jambi and The Pot, more and more on Pandora, and really grew to love them. I picked up that album not too long ago, and it gets played quite a bit. I might put Jambi as my favorite, which a tall task because I absolutely love Aenima, Stinkfist, and Eulogy.

Danny Carey would be proud of this drummer.

This is kind of a cool video showing top Tool riffs.

Also, wonder what it would be like if/when Adam Jones and Tom Morello went back to a high school reunion? How'd you like to be a relatively successful person from that class, and then they walk in the room? Damn.

This. Not many songs that get me pumped up like that. Maybe "Walk" by Pantera.

Fucking Tool...

Since the official word this record was coming out, there’s been nothing. No news. No pre-orders. No leaked or released songs. Nothing.

Knowing Tool, they’ll probably just release this album in record stores without using the internet or social media at all to promote or sell it.

Fucking Tool!
They've been playing two of the new songs on tour which have been posted all over.

They also just released their first demo tape on iTunes and Google play streaming services last week. The speculation is that they're going to start releasing their full catalog soon and make the new album available online and via streaming services.

Tool seems to take pride in being weirdly unconventional- particularly when it comes to marketing, so I could be completely offbase.

I’m not seeing anything on iTunes. You’re spot on with the marketing. I’m surprised they even announced a release date!

That's strange... I saw it on Google Play last week - even listened to Sober - but it's not there now. They must have pulled it down.

MJK is on the newest JRE Podcast today. Almost 2 hours long. I enjoyed him on the podcast in the past. He's very cerebral and that side of him gets displayed through his art. He's also interesting in a long form conversation. I haven't listened to this one yet, but I'll check it out tommorow.
