Jordan didn't voluntarily sit out.
Jordan was becoming a problem to the NBA with his excessive gambling habits. I wont get into details, but in a bid to come back to the NBA, he said "If the Commish (Stearn) will have me back" or something like that.
He tried out baseball because his father always wanted him to, and he had just been killed. (Some say it was due to Mike's connets with a mob guy he would pay off his golf bets. Speculation.)

But Maya sitting out her prime doing volunteer work may cause her some regrets down the road. Or maybe not. The dynasty is over, so she has nothing left to prove.
My question is what's up with Brunson. She's living good off of Wolves broadcast with no word on her "injury." Taylor should address that at some point. And every time she's on...we lose. (Let's just blame her, it's easier.)

Good for her for doing what she wants to do. She doesn't owe anyone anything. That said, oh boy she sounds like a fucking nut at this point. Better for her to step away and focus on herself, whatever it is she is actually doing other than "focusing on criminal justice reform/her faith". She got her now husband out of prison. He was innocent. That's awesome. And she prays a lot. What else has she been involved in? I'm actually asking for anyone that can tell me. Arguably the best WNBA player right now.. as in a lot of influence I would think. But she's not about that right now.
