I had a guy in my draft take him way too high who said this no less than 10 times.

The rest of us just laughed.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

This really was the perfect matchup to start the season. I just wish it was more entertaining.

Surprising the refs are calling 5% of the holding calls on the packers, must have been less than .5 percent last year.

man, whichever team wins, I still would not feel good about this game.

Bears defense is pretty absurdly good though.

Keep Trubisky contained and Chicago’s offense is absolutely brutal.

What the hell was Nagy and Trubiski thinking there? 4 down territory, you don't have to go for it all on third.

Good win by GB.

I said it... Bears are trash. What scares you on offense with them.

Robinson? Cohen? Montgomery?

I would rather have Bridgewater right now than Turdbisky.

Chicago is about to take a BIG step back.

Damn.. Viking fans abandoned this thread fast when the Packers were headed for the W. Funny how that works around here. I cant wait to see how our D plays against a tougher offense in Minnesota next week. But, Cousins gotta Cousins.

Headed for the win? Either team could have won the entire game. The thread was abandoned because the boring ass terrible football game was unwatchable. I'm glad that game got you excited about your team's chances though.

Right.. " the game was so boring, we just stopped posting" bit. yeah. Ok. Like I said, since you refused to read it because it made sense, the bigger test comes in stopping the VIkings Next week as they have a better offense than the Bears do. So we will see how our D responds. But, so far, so good.

Rodgers still holding onto the ball too long, was he sacked like 10 times last night or something? Gonna be hard to make it through the season if that keeps up, he's not getting any younger.

Bears D is good again, but will that offense reward them for it? I mean it's pretty good holding an opponent to 10 points, but if your offense only can put up 3 that's no bueno. I wouldn't say the packers defense is great considering how horrible the bears offense was.

All in all it was a pretty boring game but a throwback to the old black and blue division games.
I apologize in advance if what I just said offended or upset you.

You're not a very good liar Joe, or maybe just that ignorant? Everyone knows when it became obvious the Bears weren't going dominate the game and the Packers were heading towards a possible win, the giddy purple fans logged off and had nothing to say.

Believe me, if the Bears were in a comfortable lead, this thread would have been 10 pages of giddiness, giggles and cupping the carrot.

Yeah, nah, prob just a really boring game that I was done with after the first half. The point remains Chuck, people didn't abandon the thread because the Packers were lighting the Bears up, which is what numbnuts was trying to say.

The fact is purple fans disappeared when there was nothing to laugh at the Packers about, because they were actually wining on the road against the vaunted Bears. It doesn't matter why you claim you lost interest. We're talking about all the purple posters here.

Does headed for the win mean they were in a tight game the entire way?
