JaNelson38 Tweets - LOL
I'm sure most of you remember the ultimate homer, JaNelson38, from the old board. With all that's transpired in the past couple weeks, I thought it would be fun to check in on the ole guy and see what his thoughts were:
Shortly after Rodgers was injured, JaNelson38 was blaming the CBA for all of the Packers injuries:
"this all stems from CBA changes. Less practice. Less hitting. Shorter Camp. Guys bodies just aren't prepared."
But, Jane, like the trooper he is known to be, was quick to move on and started to realize the Packers have life after Rodgers:
"The Packers schedule is easily one that can get them to 9 wins. This idea that Hundley is a scrub is laughable. He's not."
"The Packers defense does not suck. They've given up more than 24 points twice in 6 games."
"Look at the schedule...all 5 home games are winnable. Road games @CLE and CHI are winnable. Win 5 of those 7, get to 9 wins."
"To be honest 10 wins probably gets home field in the NFC this year."
But, after watching future HOF, Brett Hundley, today...ole Jane was starting to point blame at head coach McCarthy:
"Even the Vikings let Case Keenum air it out a little."
"If McCarthy thinks the Packers can suddenly start grinding out wins, he won't win a game the rest of the season."
"McCarthy called that game like his QB just walked through the door today."
"me thinks the "I'm a highly successful head coach line is gonna bite McCarthy in the ass a lot in the final 2 months."
The McCarthy bashing tweets are beauties considering he was raving about how the coaching staff hasn't missed the playoffs in YEARS in tweets just a few weeks ago. "Why would they be fired, he scoffed!" And just a few days ago, he was claiming the Packers D doesn't suck! Hmm...if they don't suck, then why can't they grind out wins, Jane??
Typical Packer fan.

it's not a surprise the Packers played some of their most inspired ball today after Bennett released. It brought team together.
From the "missing piece" to galvanizing the team by being released half way through the season...

Acceptance stage?

I liked JaNelson.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

The Packers would be 7-3 right now if they have just gotten halfway decent QB play the last month.

The best part is that he really believes it, too.
They need an elite qb. They NEED arod. His greatness is really showing now.
Put 'er in the ole vise.

Have you noticed how ugly the packer retro uniforms look?......it probably took a few loses for the lens to clear up.

It looks like Jan hasn't been too thrilled with the Packers new front office and off-season progress so far...

After the front office failed miserably in addressing the weakest part of the Packers by far, this is what we are reduced to...hoping for a return from a 35-year old Tramon Williams.

Mathieu signs for $7 million.
And you Packers fans thought things would be "different". Lol

It has little to do with Mathieu. People are upset because he's done NOTHING to improve the worst part of the team, when a number of good players were readily available.

This is the line trotted out a lot this time of year regarding the Packers. Then in October when its too late and the weaknesses arent fixed we always look back at this time and wonder why the team didn't do anything when they could have.

This organization as a whole has been so used to drafting all replacements and ignoring the free agent market in recent years that part of me wonders of they really don't know what to do in terms of getting needed players.

At this point, you just make the front 7 as strong as you can and hope the pass rush covers it up, just like the Eagles did last year. There's no real impact players left in the back end in free agency.

Re: JaNelson38 Tweets - LOL
Part of me wonders if the Packers are really this bad at signing FAs or the FAs just don't want to sign with the packers, which is understandable.
Either way, it's so great watching them suffer.

Gerby tweeted yesterday, something like... "I really appreciate the patience the packers are showing going after free agents"
that bit is comedic gold
