Post by Hornets »

Two weeks away and the best gawlf tourney of the year is upon us. My first hope is for good weather....it's not a given in this part of the country and if we get a day or two of rain that's a bummer.

Who will win? There are SO MANY storylines this year and that will likely make it the most watched Master's in the history of the tourney, both in person and on tv. Lots of fellows will head into this bad boy thinkin they have a legitimate chance, and for good reason. I have a list of my favovrite playa's and will be happe if any of them are wearing the green jacket at weeks end.....

Phil
Bubba
Tiger
Jordan
Ricky

GOLF IS GOOD!!

Its kinda funny how people seem to be forgetting about the worlds #1 player...Dustin.
I'd like to see Tiger win for the drama of it....
I expect Johnson to win though.

If you want to win 10 rounds of free golf, find the facebook page for Hot Deals Minnesota.
A contest to pick the winner will be posted Monday Morning.

The Drive Chip and putt contest today is a new cool way to start the week.
The par 3 event on Wed is always a stunner. No par 3 winner has ever won the masters in same week.
Phil M -11 is your winner
mark it down.

This is a personal deal I'll admit......(I've talked about it b4)
The 2 players I don't want to see near the leaderboard are Phil and Bubba.

I was a bartender at the 2009 PGA at Hazeltine....I saw how they really treat the peons that don't matter.

If you remember Dustin was runnin on all cylinders last year just before the Master's and hurt his knee the day before it started.....OUCH! Yes, he certainly should be in contention come Sunday!

IT'S MASTER'S WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watched about an hour of Golf Channel this afternoon just to get the juices flowing! There was one segment in which they were showing Tiger on the driving range hitting what appeared to be his 3 wood, and RIGHT NEXT TO HIM on the range was none other than Freddy Couples! What a contrast in swings as Freddy has probably the sweetest, smoothest swing on the tour and of course Tiger was grippin it and rippin it! Wouldn't it be awesome if Freddy put up some low numbers in the first 2 rounds and was in contention come Saturday?!

LOVE IT!

It's remarkable how this course sets up so nice for golfers like Tiger and Phil. They just have knack to grind and put up amazing shots and scores on Saturday and Sunday.

I love watching the "old timers" beat up on the trendy, talented, younger golfers at Augusta: Cabrera, Langer, Couples, Watson

My top 5 favorites to win:

Justin Thomas
Tiger Woods
Phil Mickelson
Sergio Garcia
Jordan Speith

My prediction....

Tigers Wood has another poor showing. He's not even in the conversation come Sunday.

This has happened almost every fucking year for the past 10 (when his back works)....then he shoots a 74 on Saturday and finishes T17

Look at my avatard.... I should fucking know.

You're right! I think these oldsters just simply wear out after the first 2 rounds. Would still love to see a great start from Freddy!

I would love to see Phil, Tiger and Sergio hanging around at the end.

I don’t have a lot of emotion invested in whether they are real-life assholes or not. They are great performers to watch on Sundays.

I'm going with Spieth to win, he's played ridiculously well every year he's played there. My dark horse is Bryson DeChambeau.

I'd love to see someone get kicked out for saying "get in the hole" or "mashed potatoes", it's one of the stupidest traditions in sports.

I have never been the guy who would yell out above all others at a sporting event and can't for the life of me figure out why some dopes think they are so clever or funny that they do it. I would assume booze is involved and it is just ridiculous. Women must shake their heads at how dumb some men are for doing this cuz it's never a woman doing it. Worst is the 40 year old who screams out some stupid line then looks around to see if others are laughing at his supposed cleverness.
