First time bowling the USBC Open tournament in Vegas this year, ended up cashing, $73.84 in doubles. I drove 1600 miles what it cost me to get half way there and I made back my entry fee.

This Wed. First night. New owners, remodeled bowling center (I helped a little), new pins and hopefully high scores.

Radical Ludicrous solid I bought before nationals last year. Found the line that works on our house shot.

Mon 695, Wed. 636 and 695 again Thurs. 257 last game Mon, had the front 8, half ten pin on first ball in ninth frame, spared. If I take it of the sheet personal high game of 289, not because I get 9 first ball leave 7 pin and whiff on it. make it all I need is 5 pins for 700. First game out the box on Wed. 266. Thurs. pain behind my left knee(plant BTW) all day while at work, shoot 235 first game grinding through pain, second game in 3rd or 4th frame get up to bowl and guess what? No more pain! Shoot 233 and 227 to close out the week.

And now I'm down until further notice. Haven't bowled in 2 weeks after my knee buckled in the last game the week before xmas. Thinking a torn meniscus. Will find out more after Thurs.

getting MRI soon to see if anything is torn, if not cortisone shot to deal with arthritis until they replace my knee which is almost if not bone on bone. I have been bowling since I was 3 years old. it has finally caught up with me but a nice run! I won 1st place at the Alexandria Garden Center tournament back in '03 in singles. I took out $5500 that day alone. But the biggest take that day was calling my Dad and telling him what I had done because he was a good bowler himself and I wanted to share what I had done because of him and my Mom because they introduced me to what I love to do to this day. They both loved the game just as much as me. I would pester them to take me bowling every Saturday after the Pro Bowlers Tour on ABC. That's all I wanted to do, I wanted to bowl every aching minute of my life. I still do. I'm 54, 51 years I've dedicated my life to the one thing I love the most and I can't do it right now. I'm not happy right now. :pissed:

With the ins and outs with covid started the on Mondays, only bowled 1/3 of the season and my Monday team moved to our Thurs. mens league. Was around a 210 avg. before we left the Monday league, currently around the same since the move to Thurs. Wed. night is trending about the same. had a nice 693 series last night to start out, been doing double shifts each night to get the season caught up with, only 1 series under 600 since the re-opening on a partially torn meniscus in my left knee ( might have said this already). :scooter: :naners:
