You or I could have QB’d yesterday...when they don’t cover your wide receivers pretty easy to look good. He was awful the first 3 games expect in 4th quarter

He was 48 of 72 (67%) going into that game was at/over 70% Q1-Q3. He hasn't exactly faced the stiffest competition but he's been far from "god awful".

Leach wanted him to stay, but there were concessions that Claeys had to make in order to stay (coaching changes, player changes, scheme changes). They couldn't agree on that, so it was then a choice of resigning or getting canned.
