Did the Gophers recruit Trey Lance from Marshall? He’s a redshirt freshman QB for NDSU and he is going to be another stud when all is said and done. Granted they played a pretty bad Butler team at Target Field yesterday but he showed accuracy and he’s got some wheels. If the Gophers didn’t recruit him they missed out big time

Bison coaching just makes great QB's...of course their is Wentz and Stick...but then, there's the forgotten Josh Allen. Its probably forgotten because he played for Wyoming...but who was his coach? Of course, a Bison guy, Craig Bohl. So Craig has now had 2 first rounders, a 5th rounder and another QB who got a taste in the NFL in...(whatever his name is that was before Wentz, can't remember it).

Then you got Klieman, who also had part in Wentz and Stick...

Now this new coach might be taking off right where the other guys left off.

Such a great system at NDSU.

It is a great system. They coach up guys from 9 man football teams in North Dakota too that otherwise would probably play Dll or Dlll ball.

They recruited Zack Annexstad who walked on (first year) instead and with it, Zack brought 40% of our starting offensive line for 2019.

Did Trey Lance bring a couple Big Ten starting caliber O-lineman with him to NDSU? If so, we missed out.

Well, sure. Tried to bring in a stop-gap and he wasn't right. Better than playing him knowing he's not the right guy.
People leave programs all the time, and close to a 50% rate across all division 1 programs by their senior year.

I don't think the Gophers are sad about their QB situation right now other than for the fact Zach is hurt. The Juco wouldn't be starting at this point and I don't know if your guy would be either.

I don't understand why they went for two. I'm kicking it. Gopher announcers keep talking FGs but if the Gophers score a td and extra point, it's over.

I'm definitely going for a two in normal circumstances but not from the 18. They had no chance at that.
