Oturu is already the best player on this team not named Murphy.

Horrendous scoring like usual. Bench is giving you absolutely nothing.

He's awesome. Losing Murphy is gonna hurt, but I'm looking forward to Oturu taking over inside next year.

Last year we had no front court and this year no back court.

Murphy and Oturu have more points than the whole rest of the team.

bullshit call. Cost the game, and there likely goes any NCAA tournament hope.

fuck that call. That's complete home court advantage. Ref was looking for any kind of contact.

If the Gophers are/were a tourney team, it never would have come down to that. That was atrocious basketball by both squads.

Biggest gripe with basketball...if its a blowout, its only fun for one team's fanbase. If its a close game, the refs decide too much of the outcome down the stretch.

you ever watch the Big Ten? Ugly basketball is their m.o.

Also, I'm not saying that single call decided the Gophers fate...not beating Wisconsin or Maryland at home, as well as getting blown out by Illinois are bigger factors. But because of those, this was a must win that likely puts the Gophers over the hump for the time being, and that was taken away by a terrible call.

The last offensive play was brutal watching Coffey dribble for most of the shot clock and dump it to Murphy for the charge.

I have a feeling Pitino will be back though and this team is not going to be any better next year. In fact, I believe it will be worse.

Add this Stull kid with Hurt as two guy's who should be playing at the University of River Falls.

I really tried to watch this game as I discovered it was on TV and realized I hadn’t taken in a Gophers hoops game in a long time, but what a snooze fest... had to turn it off. This isn’t me hating... I love to hear when they are doing well, I just couldn’t watch it.

I don’t know if this was a particularly unentertaining game, if the Gophers just play that style of ball on the regular, or if this is a product of what college basketball is, but damn.

See to me that's basketball. The "New" NBA is absolutely unwatchable imo.

This game was terrible though. Both teams are not very good. They both played poorly and you had a arena that had about as much excitement as a morgue.

I didn't watch the game, so I'm sure I'll be missing some things.

1) Why didn't Washington play more? Seriously, he's their only PG. I think you have to ride or die with him and have McBrayer as the 6th man and move Coffey back to the 3.

2) Murphy and Oturo are the only ones that shot free throws. That is extremely pathetic and suggests a lack of attack. Maybe I'm wrong on the attack part, but none the less that is ridiculous to only shoot 8 free throws from 2 guys.

3) I didn't see the calls at the end of course. Was the charge on Murphy really a charge? How horrific was the last call on Coffey? If that same play happened in the first minute of the game, is it a foul? Granted, I really think it's bullshit that shooters can jump into a defender and get a call. Is that how it happened?

I watched the last 1 minute, I was at the seeding meeting for my sons hoops teams. I get the calls were terrible but you should stop Nebraska if you're a tournament team. Bottom line. I'm assuming our half court offensive stunk.
