The defense has taken quite the tumble from where Claeys/Sawvell had it.

Obviously it’s never going to happen, but Fleck as HC with Claeys/Sawvell focusing on defense would get this team pretty competitive.

About the specific game, I thought we were competitive which is a change. The OL and DL continue to be our Achilles heal against Iowa/Wisconsin.

I think it’s crucial to keep the RS on that Faalale OT. This season is headed for the dumps anyway. Play him in four targeted games then get him on the bench. Sub in other true FR OL in the games he’s out.

In a rebuilding season like this, it’s imperative all FR play the maximum of four games. Get the free game experience to build on. Next week’s blowout against OSU should be a game the FR see the field for most of the fourth quarter.

Annexstad will go down as one of the best Gopher QBs ever. It’s a pretty illustrious list, yet I’m confident he’ll break some of the records set by the elite Adam Weber.
