I read that Wisconsin has 6 offers out and Minnesota 20. The discussion was about which method is better.
I certainly don't have a problem with Rob Jeter getting aggressive.

The question is how committable are the offers?

Agreed. It's like Teh "Tube" could send out as many invitations to his party as he wants. How many are actually going to come though?

Great question... the 2020 kids aren't committing this early... the 2019 kids normally want to schedule visits before they commit (if you're out of state). So you're really talking about guys who take unofficials early (Matthew Hurt) otherwise a kid waits until he can take an official. I believe you can' take officials until Jan 1 of your junior year... so in reality a lot of these guys are just setting up plans for visits unofficially right now or officially if they plan to commit prior to the school year.

Danja would be an awesome get. I've enjoyed seeing him get better and better over the years. Great footwork, soft shooting touch, and a huge kid that will dunk on anybody.

Latest item out there on 2020 kids.. Carlson and Garcia both really like Minnesota but are not likely to both want to stay home... they are both PFs and likely do not end up at the same college because of playing the same position. Dainja obviously would come in as a five.

I watched Garcia the other night when I was picking up my son. The kid has guard like skills but is 6'9-6'10". He looks taller than Robert Jones. He is also building some muscle to his frame. Think a taller version of Amir maybe better 3 point shooter, same handle maybe better. I like him better than Carlson but either would be great.

Yeah, impossible to complain about getting either. Hopefully Pitino gets one though... if you miss on those two AND Dainja, you have to find a different coach. Can't miss on local kids two classes in a row.

When he missed on the big 4 in 2014, he grabbed Jarvis Johnson in 2015. He got Hurt/Coffey 2016 and missed on the top guys in 2017. Made up for that by landing three of the top four in 2018, now he's missing on 2019 again.

Jahari Long, pg from Texas is on an official visit this weekend. Interesting given he's a junior (2020 class) and no football game.

Steven Crowl from Eastview another to watch. 6'10 big.

Dainja might be the guy that ends up staying home over Carlson and Garcia.

Yeah, I think he's more gone than Suggs right now. Hell of a player.

I saw Richard Friday night watching Dawson Garcia. He seems like such a down to early guy, his kids were running around while he was talking to Dawson's dad. Garcia was elite Friday night against Lakeville South, dropping 26. . . hitting 3's and taking it to the hole. Reminds me of a smoother taller version of Amir Coffey. Must Get!

I'd love it.

I also saw a screenshot of Suggs interacting with Tre Williams (2019 recruit), interesting at least.

Just imagine the Barn if the Gophs got Hurt and then Suggs the next year. In 2 years this would be amazing... Even though Hurt could be 1 and done.

Suggs/Walton/Garcia/Carlson/Dainja

would win the big ten.

Suggs = 5 star, top ten player nationally

Garcia/Carlson/Dainja all top 50 ish nationally 4 star players

Walton - top 100ish player, wing

Whats the reasoning behind them two? Garcia is Xavier right? He's one I'd love to get... Do you think Hurt to Kansas is a lock? I've seen some people think it's down to Kansas and Minnesota.... Is that the reason it seems like Patino isn't recruiting anyone in 2019?

Dainja -- has offers for most schools outside of the blue bloods but my guess is he's a plan B guy over a plan A.
Walton -- not as highly rated as others. Dainja and Walton both seem like guys who would be OK to stay home and play in front of family. I think Dainja's dad went to the U, not sure if he played hoops.
Garcia -- he's a borderline 5 star player, has offers from most schools with the blue bloods knocking. I wouldn't fault him for leaving for a big time scool.
Carlson -- seems like a prototypical Wisconsin recruit in the mold of Nate Reuvers/Jon Leuer. I haven't seen him play much but I know he has a good relationship with Pitino.
Suggs -- everyone wants him. Top 5 player in the country.

Is Hurt a lock to Kansas? No. I think in the end it will be Duke, UNC or Minnesota. I know Kentucky and Memphis really want him but I don't see it at this point. Kansas was favored for a bit, not sure where they're at now.

Pitino is still recruiting 2019.

Names connected recently:
Isiaih Mosley -- wing out of Missouri
Luka Barsic -- juco big
Sam Freeman -- big guy from Texas who the Gophers were talking to a lot last summer
Tujautae Williams = wing

There's some rumors out there Jericho Sims might transfer home from Texas too. Shaka continues to bring in big time recruits so Sims isn't play as much. He'd obviously have to sit out next year and then play his final two years here.
