Madden gets tossed and I don't blame him. The rule at the plate needs to be changed. Beautiful play squashed. Bullshit.

Yep. He belongs on the bench from here on out. Just don't like the guy.

i was shocked that he headed home. the 3rd base coach waved him home though-he didn't do it on his own. excellent two games in houston with the exact right outcome.

i suggested that the twins do what they need to do to get him. it sure would have been nice to see him come out in the bottom of the first with a 3-0 lead in that wildcard game.

Is anyone at the Strib still actually paying attention to MLB?

Tonights game was listed multiple times in the paper as an 8:08 start.

So they never even bothered changing it to the Central Time Zone start.

houston not exactly tearing the cover off the ball. they've gotten about as much as you could expect out of scoring 5 runs in three games. gotta get the sticks going.

4-0....in the 7th...

I think this series is getting close to the end.

If the Yankees don't pull this out somehow, they aren't coming back from 3-1.

When you don't hit in the playoffs you don't win. It really appears that the Cubs have completely run out of gas. The AB's are pretty bad. I hope they can win and not get swept but the season is over either tonight or tomorrow night.

would a yankees-dodgers WS be all that bad? i remember the reggie series as being pretty good. they met three times in 5 years in the late 70's thru 81. and that doesn't even take in all the history before i was born. could be a ratings winner for MLB.

I wonder how long it will take Joe Buck to bring up Aaron Rodgers while calling a baseball game. He managed to hold off until the 4th inning yesterday.

If a player comes up in a "clutch" moment....
If a player gets injured...
If the sun sets in NY...

He will find a way.

Yankees up 4-0 in the 5th....
this might go 7 games.

(Tomorrow is a day off in this series.....does Buck stop to visit Rodgers on his way to Houston?)
