I feel like we are saying the same thing about three times a week for the past month or so, but it certainly applies to today's game as well. Lost a game they really should have won, again. I mean seriously, how many games have they lost like this in that span 7? 8? 9? That's an entire season's worth for most playoff caliber teams and the Twins have done it in 1/6 (or so) of that time. Pretty much got what they deserved though for going ice cold for 5+ innings on offense against a Brewer's bullpen that's almost as atrocious as the Twins is.

Burgundy's glass half-full take? At least Dyson looks decent after a dreadful start with the club and at least Rogers gets another day of rest.

I don't want to sound like I'm enjoying this because nothing could be further from the truth, but it does add an interesting dimension to the game with knowledge that this particular scenario is far more likely than average. It's like, what creative and new way are they gonna figure out to fuck this one up?

Yeah, certainly doesn't look like a team that could make any sort of a run if they make the playoffs....oh well, at least there is interest in the local 9 in mid-August!

Just looked it up. Five blown saves this month and it's not even halfway over yet. If you're trying to miss the playoffs that's a good place to start.

lots of bad losses. rocco was hoping that he could get a clean 8th out of romo and it didn't happen. i don't know what he could do there after using dyson and may already-unless he wanted to go to rogers for six outs and that has repurcussions in later games. a tough spot when you don't trust your other BP arms.

gibson gave up a couple of two out hits with runners in scoring position again. adrienza's triple went for naught. and the errors.

i think the brewer pitcher was smart to pitch around rosario to get to cron. and another bases loaded situation came up empty.

what i want to see is a blow out victory where he can use the BP guys he doesn't trust to mop up so he can try to settle everything down, rest some arms and bring some order to his late inning decisions. it's the 7th? that's dyson. 8th? romo. 9th? rogers. and see if they can get some stability and more important not give up any more late inning leads.
