Tough to follow up a frustrating loss yesterday with an even more frustrating one today, but they might have done just that. With that said, it's a long season, days like these will happen. The offense has sputtered out of the gate in most of the games this month and it's cost them some games that they were winning earlier in the season. This bullpen in in such a state that you can't really like their chances in almost any tied or even close game late. With that said it's a long season, days like these will happen, but we're seeing some disturbing tends happening too frequently lately, even in games that they win.

Sure days like this happen, but taking the bat out of the league leading hitter with two on and nobody out, and then running on contact in a Nelson Cruz at bat are things you can control... y not doing them.

And the Twins had eight other innings to score and couldn't do it against a team that's been roasted all season in that department. That's where the game was lost. For whatever it's worth, Parker (who probably would have pitched the ninth regardless) gave up another one in the top of the next inning. Frustrating though no matter how you look at it, I agree with you on that.

You know what pisses me off?

Jumping on Twitter and seeing these nerd sports writers like Lavelle or Joe Nelson (the one that was with KFAN) saying "OMG, so many people criticizing the team! they're in first place, you miserable idiots! What a bunch of whiners."

Fuck off, you douche bags. You writers are constantly the first people to publish an article or jump on the radio and talk negative about shit.

And so the fuck what the team is in 1st place. They're playing like GARBAGE and were saved this past week because they played 2 of the worst teams in the league. If Seattle & KC were good teams, we'd have struggled to take 3 of the past 7 with the way the Twins have been playing with their bad hitting w/RISP, stupid errors & base running, and a bullpen that tried to give away a 10-1 lead.

It's GREAT the team is in first but they're far from playing solid ball right now. Hell, with Cleveland getting some arms back, we're one bad series against the Indians to seeing our 10 game lead drop to 7 or 6 games with more than half the season to go.

My biggest gripe is they don't manufacture runs or put the ball in play. A clutch single or ball to the outfield would have scored at least one run last night. Same with the game on Sunday, bases loaded 4 times? Instead they are swinging out of their cleats trying to pull the ball. It seems like almost all their hitters are that way. The league has caught up to them, soft stuff away, breaking balls out of the zone . . . .the Twins hitters just lack disciplined. Parker . . . my god he sucks.

I think the team is too comfortable with the home run and rely on it too much. Sure, a go-ahead grand slam is a cool moment but sometimes you just need a sac fly or a Texas leaguer.

Buxton & Polonco are probably the only two that go to the plate looking for a single.
