I honestly thought Thad and Falvey would be able to convince them on some moves.

They didn’t get outbid on anyone we wanted. I’m not happy no real move was made but there clearly wasn’t a move to make.

I would have been quite surprised if they landed a starter. Dyson/Romo ain't too bad for bullpen moves. Now you need to expect them to be very active in the offseason to address the rotation with the prospects they have, or deal major league talent (Rosario/Sano) for pitching and promote from within to cover those guys.

very disappointing. this team goes as far as berrios, odorizzi, gibson and pineda can take them. not too thrilled about that if/when they play the astros. i think you throw perez in the pen for the game of long relief if/when one of those other starters falters early.

need a reliable seventh inning arm-and then the romo/rogers combination has to be lights out in the 8th/9th innings.

definitely a year where a couple of arms could have made them the favorite in the playoffs though. FO and ownership will pay the price in loss of goodwill if they flame out in the playoffs or in a WC play-in game.

Don't worry, this has been going on with this org forever. They won't lose any goodwill. It would of been more of a shocker if they actually did something.

We traded for two. Of course some players were traded.
Stroman, Bauer, Grienke were the only real names. Stroman trade was a joke. Bauer was Cleveland and Who knows how hou gets Grienke. Stroman was the only one on twins chats radar and his trade was dumb.

So the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers and Twins do very little at the deadline. Sounds like smart organizations didn't overpay for marginal players. Only Houston really improved themselves in the AL and not sure the Twins even had a shot at Greinke.
