In his defense, I don't think he was meant to be one.

We just have this weird thing with Rogers where he's a fireman rather than a closer and they're not afraid to burn him in the 7th or 8th if we need to get out of a jam.

Right, I'm not mad at Parker...he just goes in when Rocco tells him to. Just doesn't have closers stuff. No crime in that, but it WILL be a crime if Rocco keeps putting him out there to close.

Parker was a good closer for the Angels last year. I don't think the Twins have any better options on the team

Their rotation isn't strong enough either. They need 1 to 2 more quality SPs. I don't care if they have to trade for one or overpay Kuechel. Get it done, or you're squandering this lineup. Gibson, Odorizzi, and Perez are garbage.

The lineup will go on a cold streak at some point. They will have to win a string of 2-1 games. I don't have faith in the rotation we have to get that done. Bring a quality SP or two, and I'll feel a lot better about our playoff chances.
