Thank you, Rock Me.
There seems to be no place for slap hitters in baseball anymore but Luis Arraez has a .331 career MILB average. His down year was .309 back in the GCL. He's been promoted to AAA at age 22.

I wonder if there's a place for him. Would the new regime be willing to take .310 with nearly all singles to Schoop's .250 and 24 dongs?

Second most polished bat in the system behind Kirilloff. This guy probably makes it easier to let Nick Gordon go in a trade as they are almost identical players power-wise with the difference being that Arraez is also an outfielder, 3B and a better hitter. Sounds like they are grooming him to be a super utility player that will replace Marwin when his contract is up after next year.

Any chance Graterol makes it to the Majors this fall?
He has to be one of the Twins top 3 prospects now that most of the others are in the bigs.

Not sure if something happened to Schoop or if Cruz had a setback, but the Twins have called up Luis Arraez...

Our new utility guy, this probably isn't good news for Adrianza who has completely sucked. Arraez has a chance to stick with the club the rest of the year if he hits like he has in the minors his entire career.

I don't think this has anything to do with Adrianza because Arraez can't play short. He can play 3B, most he is almost strictly a 2B...

I think it does, Arraez has played SS, 3B and OF as well as 2B(where he has received the most playing time). The have been grooming him to be a super utility player. Plus with Sano back, Marwin doesn't have to man 3B so much and can handle backup SS duties.

I don't know why they made this move, Schoop could be hurt? Cruz is going to be out longer? or they are looking to upgrade their worst position player in Adrianza or it could be because of something else. All I know is that I am excited that he got called up, it makes our team for versatile and gives us a better bat.

They wanted to give Polanco some rest. He lacks the agility and range to consistently play SS, but they did place him there to give him some time because they are not in any danger of losing.

Exactly what I said, he will be a utility guy and can play SS. He can also play 3B, 2B and OF in a pinch.

Any word on the promotion of Rortvedt? Temporary? I'm glad they think he's worthy, but he was hitting .238 at Fort Myers.

Maybe they thought he was ready to move up. After all, his OPS was a very solid .778. His BA in Pensacola is .318, but the OPS is only .718. With Banuelos also promoted, Rortvedt is up to AA permanently...
