The first indication should have been the non tendered by the Angels. They could have retained him and took a hard pass. He could bounce back, but more often then not, this means he's cooked.

As for being pitch to contact, he Ks more than 10 per 9 innings in his career and was over 9 last year even with the numbers you mentioned. He's a solid 7th/8th inning option. Can never have too many of those guys.

Like I said, I'm more concerned with the fact that LAA non tendered him. It's not like they have a bevy of RP's. The other stats are just something to be aware of.

I don't know LAAs life. Seems like a shaky decision to non-tender a healthy and generally reliable BP arm. Maybe they had 40 man issues or didn't want to pay him $3 million plus. We'll see how it works out. Could be a steal for the Twins.
