Dozier
Happy for him, getting to the World Series. He got lucky with that trade, even though I feel the Twins did him dirty not giving him a contract.

He didn't deserve a new contract.

Re: Dozier
I disagree. 2017 was his 2nd straight good year, some stats better than 16, some not. Twins like to sell everything and get almost nothing in return.

You do realize he doesn't even start for the Dodgers because of how terrible he has been..Straight Edge Raven wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 8:21 pm I disagree. 2017 was his 2nd straight good year, some stats better than 16, some not. Twins like to sell everything and get almost nothing in return.

FA 2nd baseman who can play everyday and hit homers. Multiple suitors. He'll have a market but not at 9mil/yr. More between 6-7. And before you MF chime in he will get no more than 7 on the open market. Considering his age, fair market value.

My dad and I were just talking about him, and we both had the same number in our head. 1 year, $8 million.

Re: Dozier
He might have a hard time getting a good contract. There are several veteran second basement who are decent that are out there. DJ LeMahieu, Daniel Murphy and Asdrubal Cabrera.

Re: Dozier
I think some people here are a little confused about his value...
Look at the playoffs.......he was a role player for the Dodgers.
He might be one of those guys attending a spring training camp for unsigned FAs.

I bet he's a Tiger next year. Gardy would probably love to have him again.

Re: Dozier
Heyman has him just below Erv on the FA big board. He's guessing 1 year, $6.5M.
I'd bring Erv back a 1 yr, $7M tomorrow. He's 2 years away from a 3+ era and 211 innings pitched.

Re: Dozier
That's too bad. The guy can still spin some gems. He's also good at taking millions of dollars for not pitching.Small Hands wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 9:03 amHe doesn't want to be here anymore. He was on the record criticizing the front office moves. He gone!!!

Gordon played like shit down the stretch last year, he hasn't earned a call up yet.Small Hands wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 9:05 amWhat about Nikko Goodrum?
That would make sense actually. No chance he plays for the Twins next season. Time to see what Gordon can do.
