Even the big spenders still have to have at least a little bit of talent from their farm systems to succeed. Wish I were a bit older to have seen some of those 80s Oilers teams.

I don't think anyone aside from the players like the guaranteed contracts but they aint going away anytime soon. If the Wild hadn't drafted the likes of James Sheppard and Colton Gillies, they could've saved some $.
