Good grief...game starts at 9:30! Suffice it to say I'll be sleeping by period 3 but am anxious to watch this one to see if the boys can continue their good play. Almost 100% healthy now and boy it's sure fun to watch Fiala and Kaprizof!

Woke up just in time to turn it on and see the Wild's 3rd goal!

I realize some of these opponents are nowhere near as good as they used to be, but it's nice to finally not see the Wild getting owned out west like they used to on the regular.

Getting consistent competent play in net sure doesn't hurt. I also like that they didn't go into a prevent shell in the 3rd period. Previously coached Wild squads would have allowed SJ to get within 1 if not lose this game in OT.

6-2 now after an ENG!

Post-game question: Is Wes Walz unable to turn his head?

There appears to be tiers of speed in the NHL. The Wild skate around and through San Jose and Anaheim but have to throw sticks at Colorado and Vegas as those teams fly past them.

Tremendous victory yesterday and the boys are on a 3 game roll. There are some pretty darn good pieces in place for this team and I am anxious to see how Guerin continues to build upon it. Not sure if it will happen but would be nice to see Marco Rossi in uniform at some point this year if he recovers fully from Covid so that he could be a day 1 contributor next year.

Went to bed after the first, assuming they were gonna keep the momentum rolling. But that was a great period of hockey for the Wild up front. Great O-zone work, great forecheck. Still nervracking in the neutral zone and d-zone, but that's gonna be "next" for mending (d-core). Zuccarrello may be just the guy Kril needs to work off of, loving the look of that line. Sh-t I'm even slowly falling in "like" with Greenway! And how do you not love a goalie named "Kakko"!!?!?!?

Great tidbit by Ryan Carter after the Foligno fight. Foligno being the only one that nocked his screws loose back in his days, Foligno's dad coming in to talk to him etc...

FYI, loved Foligno waiving the fight off, classy dude.

It's interesting how fighting has changed. Back in the day, the combatants fought to the death, often times throwing haymakers over the linesmen that were trying to separate them and even if one fell on the other the aggression usually continued. Now they smack away at each other for a bit and are more than willing to call it a day pretty quick when the linesman intervenes. If you haven't seen the Carter/Foligno fight you gotta youtube it, Carter just got destroyed!

Yeah, Zuccarello and Kaprizov do indeed seem to be in sync and Rask is joining in as well...fun line to watch. I know you won't have any sympathy but I feel bad for Zach right now....points are hard to come by and he's not getting any puck luck. Zach was never a speedster but it seems like he's lost a step and is having trouble creating any space for himself. I think he'll find his groove at some point this season but right now he isn't contributing much.

LOVE that you're givin Greenway some respect!! Kahkonnen has proved he can be a solid backup and certainly a candidate for full time duty in the next year or two. If the Wild feel good enough about him maybe they deal Talbot at the deadline?

Good to see that you’re alive. I had my doubts.

Tip of the cap to you, sir.
