2019 Draft Thread
Latest TSN mock draft has Wild selecting Caufield. Podkolzin goes 13th to Florida. Newhook goes 14th to Arizona.

This guy has the Wild taking Knight. I’ve never liked a team taking a goalie in the first round unless he’s a no brainer. They develop slower than players do so you really don’t know what you are getting.

I'd be pretty disappointed if they took a goalie, but this guy is supposed to be special.

Re: 2019 Draft Thread
He’s not nearly as hyped as Carter Hart but yeah he’s getting everyone’s attention. Would not be shocked if the Wild take him. He’s been compared to Broduer which is quite the complimentbubu dubu. wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 6:35 pm I'd be pretty disappointed if they took a goalie, but this guy is supposed to be special.

If Kirby or Cole is gone. Maybe the Russian.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 6:29 pm This guy has the Wild taking Knight. I’ve never liked a team taking a goalie in the first round unless he’s a no brainer. They develop slower than players do so you really don’t know what you are getting.

I am completely fine with Knight.
Dubs is already 33. Knight is best keep in years. Wont take 5 years for him to take over, maybe an extra year or 2 vs a skater. Fine with locking up for most inportant position.

So glad Colorado didn't luck their way into Hughes. Dealing with him and McKinnon would have been tough for any team, especially a slow one like the Wild. On a related note, fucking Chicago move up 11 spots to the 3rd pick and the Wild move down (albeit just one spot) and Philly, Flecher's new team moves into our spot.

Re: 2019 Draft Thread
Dach to the Hawks. Hell of a center
Dach entered the draft as the third-ranked North American skater, and he has all the tools to become a prominent NHL center. He likely won't jump straight to the big leagues out of junior, but Dach immediately upgrades Chicago's prospect pool.
The Alberta native possesses soft hands and strong skating ability that's rare for a player his size. He should pay off to be a smart pick at No. 3.
What they're saying
"He's huge, he's strong on the puck, he handles it well in tight (rare for a player his size), he's a better skater than he gets credit and his length makes him a lot to handle when he drives the net (which he needs to do more often) or controls the puck on the cycle. He's also a player coaches lean on defensively because he uses his stick effectively to disrupt plays and win battles." - The Athletic's Scott Wheeler

Wow, Cole reminds me of Michael Cerra. I won't ever get that out of my mind if we end up with him.

Pierre loves Coufield. That's enough for me to advise against taking him.
