Any chance we change our name back to the North Stars?

The logo is ugly and the team name is a little confusing.

We should change the color scheme to green and yellow and bring the jerseys back.

Those were bomb.

The logo is not ugly and the nickname is not really all that confusing:

2a : not inhabited or cultivated
wild land

5 : characteristic of, appropriate to, or expressive of wilderness, wildlife, or a simple or uncivilized society

1 : a sparsely inhabited or uncultivated region or tract : WILDERNESS

I miss the North Stars for sure and I'll never have the same passion for the Wild as I did that franchise, but that ship has sailed.

FYI either Dallas or the NHL owns the rights to the name/logo.

To make a long story short they can't use the North Stars or the logo because Dallas didn't have the decency to really change the name or anything else about it, they just dropped the North. Winnipeg was allowed to bring the Jets name back because AZ completely changed the name, the uniforms, everything.

As far as the whining goes about the colors, the name, and the logo, how old are some of you guys nine? What would you think of a grown ass man who is a Flyers fan sitting around crying about, "what is a Flyer?" "That logo is stupid, it doesn't make sense", "It's so dumb that we have Halloween colors as the team's color's"

Sure. But those North Stars unis are some of the best in sports and the Wild unis are god awful.

We could bring the unis and color scheme back while keeping the name and logo. Not a big deal, but I'd love it.

What do Sylvain Turgeon, Pat LaFontaine, Steve Yzerman, Tom Barasso, John MacLean, Russ Courtnall, Cam Neely and Dave Gagner have in common?

All drafted after Brian Lawton and had far more GP and points each.

I remember like it was yesterday watching the video they showed of Lawton on his high school team when the North Stars drafted him. I literally thought to myself "gee, I'm as good as this dope ", and really wasn't surprised that he was a major flop!

You weren't just as good (at all, ever) but yeah everyone hated that pick unless you were fan of every team that followed.

A) Yes I was as good as Lawton.
2) Yes, everyone I know said it was a bad pick.
C) Yes, I am STILL good and could toe drag a puck around you faster than you could say Cory Millen! :naners:

Such a waste of (IMO) one of the best team nicknames and coolest jerseys to ever exist.

Wild as in Wilderness not like a wild animal.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.
