Canes tie up their series with the Caps. Caps may have lost Oshie for awhile. Got hit from behind and went into boards awkwardly. Looked like he was favoring his right shoulder. Went right off the ice.

Shocker In Winnipeg. Schwartz scores a goal out of the air with 15 seconds left. All road teams have won. Unreal

Uncanny how many goals have been scored in the first 30 seconds of games this playoff season. Blues score 23 seconds in on the Jets.

Re: 2019 Stanley Cup playoff thread
i put this in the wrong thread. that's what you get when you barely post in the wild forum. here it is in it's entirety in the right one.
in case you ever forget that in the nhl once you get into the playoffs anything's possible.
It’s taken just nine games for both No. 1 seeds from their respective conferences to be ousted from the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Nine. And the team that tied an NHL record for wins in a regular season went out in four. The 107-point Calgary Flames resisted for an addition game as the eighth-place Colorado Avalanche dispatched them in five games after a 5-1 win on Friday.
In the NHL’s storied history, over 100 years of existence, never have the top seeds from each conference from the regular season been put out in the first round.
After the Columbus Blue Jackets shocked the hockey world earlier this week, the Avalanche sent similar tremors when they fanned the Flames, Colorado’s first series win in 11 years
It’s hard to imagine.

Hell of an OT game in Las Vegas. In the first OT of this 1-1 game, SJ had more offensive zone time, and some opportunities, but VGK has a couple of those chances that sometimes give you a game winner after weathering the storm in your own end.

Fleury wants that one back. So we have 2 games 7’s Tuesday night. Knights @ Sharks and Leafs @ Bruins.

Wow! Refs call a penalty with a little over 9:00 left in the second OT, putting Vegas on the PP.
Hertl puts a shorty past MAF! One that was just a puck thrown on net, that Fleury should have had.
Game 7 coming Tuesday.

Caps up 1-0 early in the first. Ovie trying to match the 11 hits he distributed in game 5. He’s in the Canes heads big time.

2-1 after 1. Ovie with the second goal. Man he’s a totally different player from 2 years ago. 200 foot player now who loves to throw his body around. Fun to watch.

He's a complete player now.
Odd to see a 30+ year old guy change that much.

Caps got hosed on an apparent goal by Ovie. The ol’ intended to blow the whistle trick from the ref

Then of course the Canes come back and score a minute later to make it 4-2 Carolina

Physically spent, emotionally overdrawn, and morally bankrupt in no way to spend a Tuesday.

I’m enjoying this series.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 8:36 pm Then of course the Canes come back and score a minute later to make it 4-2 Carolina
The goalie was pushed into the net and I’m good with the disallowed goal. I’m biased, I’m cheering really hard for the Canes. I love their fans and Staal is a Thunder Bay boy and I like rooting for our hometown boys.

This should be a great third period. They really opened things up that last half of the second. Tied at 1

Hogwash. Dubnyk get's pitchforked in like that and the puck crosses the line a half dozen times each season and they always count even after they review them.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 9:35 pmNo doubt Gus.
Now on the disallowed goal they are saying the puck was under Mrazek’s leg pad therefore puck can’t be pushed in. Initially they said ref intended to blow whistle

Leafs and Bruins is what game 7’s are all about. Chances on both ends as it’s end to end hockey. Bruins survived the second only giving up one goal where it could of been 2 or 3 more. 2-1 Bruins after 2

Bruins dispatch the Leafs once again. Coyle put it away with an open netter to make it 4-1. Next up Columbus

Canada's drought without a cup will have to wait at least one more season. Rask was better than Anderson was tonight and that was the difference.

Bruins having the Leafs number reminds me of the Hawks having the Wilds numberRon Burgundy 4 President wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 9:03 pm Canada's drought without a cup will have to wait at least one more season. Rask was better than Anderson was tonight and that was the difference.

Re: 2019 Stanley Cup playoff thread
Aside from the fact that the Leafs have actually won before, the Leafs are starting to remind me of a sort of Vikings of the NHL. With some exceptions, almost always a respectable team at worst and occasionally very very good teams with really good regular seasons with absolutely nothing to show for it beyond that. Did I hear that right that they haven't won a playoff series in 15 years?
