On one hand there is no shame in losing to SJ as they are the best team in the conference as far as I'm concerned. On the other hand, this is two duds in a row and yet another one in St. Paul where the Wild find it nearly impossible to win games. The Wild even caught a huge break by catching them without Karlsson or Kane and they still did jack shit.

I wondered which trend would end first the Wild beating good teams or the Wild losing to bad teams. Sadly, it was a stupid thing to wonder because the answer was obvious.

1 win in their last 9 home games. That's nearly 1/4 of their home schedule and they have one win to show for it.

Good news is AZ is gonna lose and Carolina beat Colorado so the Wild didn't lose any ground to them. Still though, a wasted opportunity tonight.

The potentially disturbing part of those games though?
Chicago is quietly sneaking back into the WC race..

You're not kidding. Chicago up 4-0 against the Leafs after a period in Toronto as we speak. AZ won last night and overtook the Wild for the last Wild card spot. A fine time the St. Louis to lose their second game in the last month or so.

Pretty simple on Chicago...
Crawford is back, and healthy.

True, but even he's not as good as he use to be IMO. Having said that, he's still a vast improvement over the platoon of a washed up Cam Ward and Colin Delia.

It's just the upgrade....
Like you said, they had crap in goal.

No...he's not the same guy anymore...but a dramatic improvement.

Oh...and I'm sure you know...5-0..
Game over.

If you quit watching you missed a hell of a comeback come up one goal short and came oh so close to tying it up in the last minute. 5-4 final
