Wild @ Flyers 1/14/19

Post by Ron Burgundy 4 President »

The Flyers are among the worst teams in the league (if not the very worst) so it will be interesting to see which Wild team we get? The one that played a real nice game against Winnipeg (for two periods at least) or the one that dominated on home ice by a bad Detroit team? Personally, I'm guessing the latter as it would simply continue a trend that basically has been a constant for the better part of about half a decade now. Moreover, the Wild will face a young, raw, goalie who hasn't been all that impressive in his limited action, which of course will probably mean he'll have a great game tonight. Lastly, it would also be fitting if the Wild bent over for Fletcher in his first crack at revenge on them. Hope I'm wrong, the Wild need the two points.

Great start. Zucker and Erickson-Ek make it 2-0 halfway thru the first

Philly goalie Hart with the number 79 on his jersey. I’ve never seen a goalie with that number before

Impressive feat (even for these assholes) to give away sizeable lead to an awful team as quickly as the Wild did here. If only the Wild were a really good team like the Red Wings they game would have already been in the bag when it was 2-0.

Hardly surprised but still disappointing. The opportunity for CF to get revenge was a storyline that the Wild (or any MN team in a similar spot) can’t help to bend over to accomodate. Having said that, the Wild probably would have lost anyways because well, they’re the Wild and Philly is a dumpster fire. That’s all that really needs to be said.

Anaheim up next who’ve lost 11 in a row. I’ll bet my fucking house that ends in St. Paul later this week. Any takers?

Near the end of the first period, Wild on a two man rush, Captain gets the puck, instead of goin for the net, he moves laterally across the inside of the blue line and flips a weak back hander at the net. That’s the heart and soul of this team, the leader. He’s good at many aspects of the game but has no piss and vinegar, no killer drive. Never has.

Suter coasting there.... if he drives his legs to the man he doesn’t take a penalty. So frustrating to watch these guys again tonight.

How's that "taking a season to see what is going on" working for you, Fenton?

Fucking do something, you fuck.

I never got a year at any job to sit back and see what I have to do next year. Fuck you.

DAMN! I was going to put in the GDT header to look for JRV to have a big game even though he's had a rotten season because he is the lone player on the Flyers with any sort of MN connection but forgot to do it. I really have to wonder if any of these guys even care at this point don't you?

At the very least. I just don’t know how you can skate them until they get some pride though. Too bad you can’t send them all to Iowa for a week.

For whatever reason, this team just habitually plays down to bad teams, it's been that way for years, but it's really gotten extreme the last two seasons. Constant and repeated losses to teams like AZ, EDM, Detroit, New Jersey Vancouver, Philly almost every time they play trash clubs like those.

It's embarrassing they'll stoop to such levels. If they lost by a goal in OT ok, but that's not what happened here tonight.

Those 2 bozos are the biggest apologists in Minnesota. Always something but never the shitty play of the Wild
