***Wild @ Blackhawks*** 12/27

Post by Ron Burgundy 4 President »

The Wild will look to put the brakes on an epic skid against a subpar Blackhawks team that is starting a third string goalie (Collin Delia) in his second career start. Have they finally hit rock bottom with no where to go but up? Or will they dig themselves even deeper? Stay tuned...

Not even this collection of losers can lose that much the rest of the way. It's too bad they put on that magic show during the month of November to rake in all those points otherwise they'd probably finish bad enough to have a crack at him.

They'll probably score 7 on Saturday and lose 9-7 in Winnipeg.

If they decide this thing needs to get blown up it might happen. Sadly however, I think they are a long way from accepting that eventuality even if it is obvious to everyone else that is paying attention.

Zucker missed a wide open cage from about 5 feet out. Can't make it up.

These fucking guys couldn't score in a hot tub filled with hookers.

Would have been much more helpful had they got goal #2 about 19 mins ago.

Don't like my local teams to "tank" it, but with Dumba out and things going south, "tanking" it might be best long term. Time for this GM to start re-building this thing and if he does a good job, no reason that a couple years from now we could make a run at Stanley! I know Hole Nova agrees!

Now it should be about trading older assets for youth and draft capital and making sure you get good again when Kaprisov gets here. If they bottom out right Granlund/Dumba will still be good enough older core guys to build around, but it depressing to think what Parise/Suter are going to look like in 3 years and even more depressing to think about what they will look like 3 years after that. I know they won't do it, but it sure would be nice to start over. This core was/is never going to get it done. A lot of luck you could be building around a blue chip top 3 prospect after the draft. Do that one more time and you are really into something!
