I’m hoping he’ll get another to make up for it.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 12:32 pmNo doubt. Sucks for Greenway and the kid who scored it or thought he scored it

Greenway’s games have been plenty entertaining in this tourney, JT!

First one I’ve had a chance to watch. It’s been a fun first 17 minutesJustin Kase wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 12:53 pm Greenway’s games have been plenty entertaining in this tourney, JT!

Re: High School Hockey Talk
the class A championship games have almost always been great hockey games with plenty of drama. the greenway goalie was too nonchalant and it cost him on that second goal. bailed out when they tied it back up on the power play-but you need to have a greater sense of urgency when that puck gets dumped in.Justin Kase wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 12:53 pm Greenway’s games have been plenty entertaining in this tourney, JT!

Yeah, possibly getting a little gassed now. They came back late and won yesterday, hard to do it again against a really good team. Either way, it’s a great match up.

Oh, here’s a fun fact: Greenway fans love the folks at the Gooher Bar, and packed the place yesterday and last night. The Gopher had a new record for them, 45 cases of beer sold yesterday!

How the heck did that Cathedral player miss that open net. That would of been the dagger

There’s enough time left for my Raiders, but I think the legs may be getting heavy. They did it late yesterday though, so I’m sure they’re not going to give up.

i thought that they took it to cathedral in the 3rd period-but that goalie's good. i also thought that the penalty that led to the 4th goal should have been a no-call. the guy's own teammate knocked the legs out from him.Justin Kase wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 2:15 pmSure would have. Hell of an effort by Greenway. Cathedral was just the deeper team although the Raiders had there chances. Latin for Greenway was fun to watch. Hell of a future for that young man

There’s been plenty said about Donte Lawson and his family, I posted that article about them here.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 2:37 pm Hell of an effort by Greenway. Been a heck of a ride for them, not just hockey wise.

Poor kid spent his youth watching pro players in Wild sweaters missing from there with regularity.Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 2:03 pm How the heck did that Cathedral player miss that open net. That would of been the dagger

Have the announcers always said the wrong kids names or is it just this year?

i'm not a fan of the play by play guy and louie is just a couple years younger than sid. if i was to guess lou's probably better with the name too. i don't know how you pronounce the names though-so i can't vouch.Slim Shady wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2019 7:34 pm Have the announcers always said the wrong kids names or is it just this year?

I never would have guessed that Edina, after being held to just 5 shots on goal in the first period, would come out and get only 2 SOG in the second! Very lucky to be down just 1-0, and it’s still anybody’s game. EP, while doing a great job, can’t relax and think they have this yet.
