Looks like he could play another 3-4 years. Hope Kirk has the longevity Drew has! Wouldn't it be neat to have a quality QB for a decade?!Jimtown guy wrote: ↑Mon Oct 08, 2018 8:43 pmAnd he does it with a bomb for a TD. Nothing but class. Plays the game the right way. It’s never about him. It’s about the team. And he’s not even 6 foot tall. Amazing

Re: Well done Drew Brees!
in a game where everyone knew this wasn't just possible, but likely, and someone was there to collect the ball with gloves on (I'm guessing sent by the NFL), and the scoreboard was ready to give a tribute, and the security hired by the NFL let his family on the field specifically to celebrate with him...
the refs flag him for excessive celebration. You think Goodell could just talk to these refs before the game and tell him to have his moment?

when fran tarkenton retired he had the record at 47,003 yards. also TD passes at 342. and he held those records for a long time. much longer than those that have been setting the bar higher and higher lately. the explosiveness of the game compared to fran's day can be seen by where he ranks now. brees might hold this one for awhile though.

Might hold onto it for awhile, but at the same time, the next one to break it might already be in the NFL...along with the explosiveness and offensive trends of the NFL, their are so many young QBs that contribute in major ways, right away.weimy froob wrote: ↑Tue Oct 09, 2018 11:02 am when fran tarkenton retired he had the record at 47,003 yards. also TD passes at 342. and he held those records for a long time. much longer than those that have been setting the bar higher and higher lately. the explosiveness of the game compared to fran's day can be seen by where he ranks now. brees might hold this one for awhile though.
Goff if he stays healthy, would be my pick if there is 1 guy who could break it who is already in the NFL...young guy who will be around for a long time who is already putting up huge numbers, along with a young head coach who will continue to evolve offensively as well.
