4 - The Browns are 1-21 since passing on Carson Wentz

The Browns benched DeShone Kizer in favor of Kevin Hogan. Take a look at Hogan’s stat-line against the Texans: 20/37 (54.1%), 140 yards (3.78 avg), 1 TD, 3 INT, 38.1 passer rating.

Yikes.

Meanwhile, Carson Wentz is in the discussion for NFL MVP.

Definitely not a top-20 quarterback, though.

they're very good. I expect the road to the super bowl to run through them this year. Hopefully The Vikings can beat them when it counts!

Saw the pregame piece on Wentz and his relationship with that kid Lucas who passed away at age 10.....BRUTAL deal for the kid and family to go through and Wentz was nothing short of amazing in the ordeal....wow. Wish we had him....

agreed. there's also stories about how "close" this team is. they've got something going this year-that's for sure.

vikings-eagles for a super bowl berth?

could be.

Ya never know but to early to worry about that. Way to much season left but if did happen I'd obviously go with Eagles. But if they had to lose to anybody the Vikes would be the team.

Wentz set an NFL record today for completions for a QB in his first 24 career games and he set an Eagles record for TDs in the first 8 games of a season.

lots of football analysts getting on the eagles bandwagon. "the best team in the NFC" was pretty much the consensus after yesterday. still setting up for a possible showdown with the purple squad.

Losing Peters at left tackle for the year hurts. Hopefully they are looking elsewhere but at this time of the year there isn’t much out there.

Their offense just shredded one of the better defenses. Hopefully we can avoid them in the postseason

Wentz just continues to blow me away. For about the last 5 or 6 weeks, I keep thinking he's going to fade a bit...I mean, for those 5 or 6 weeks, I still hold the belief that he is one of the top 3 young QB's in the league...but keep thinking, he's not on this MVP type level run that he's on...5 or 6 weeks later, he's still on this run.

Time to give in. He is on an MVP caliber level. It just blows me away that he's doing this in just his 2nd season.

He plays a bit like Favre. He has that gunslinger mentality.

i was watching the game with my mom. she doesn't know many of the players anymore. but i filled her in on your nephew and she even got a laugh when she saw that big cardboard cutout. she was impressed with his clean cut looks and she's now a fan-hoping he wins the MVP this year.

how about that?
