for those looking to get into sports betting, or those who are looking for some extra help. Here are a couple sites I use for an edge...

oddshark.com
freepicksandparlay.net

Usually if I want to place a bet, I check it with both these sites. If both the sites agree with what I wanted to bet, usually that means a green light.

Another tip I would have, is to bet multiple games, but don't be dumb about it. Don't pick games just to get multiple bets in, but if you like a lot of games, go for them all. That might mean lowering your bet in a game or two, to to stay within the amount of money you are willing to bet, but more games (that you like) is better. The reasoning behind this, is that you need to hit on about 55% of your games to be in the green. If you only bet two games at the same price, you need to hit on 100% of your bets to win money. Now, if you play in 5 games, if you win 60% of them, you are good.

I don't know, I've been doing this for about a year or so, and its worked out pretty well, just figured I'd share what works for me with you all.

Side note, this strategy is mainly for bets ATS. If you are betting straight up wins, you need to hit on a much higher percentage to be in the green, as the payouts tend to be a lot less, unless you are picking underdogs (which is okay sometimes, but usually a mistake)

Also again, make sure you are confident in the games, dont bet multiple just to do it. If you only like 2 games, then throw this strategy out the window and just bet the 2. Around this time of year though, you can look at hockey and baseball games too, and soon, NBA games. With all those sports, you should easily be able to find multiple games you like. The more games you like enough to bet on, the better.

Do you ever research these picks? Do you know the record New England has after a loss? Or after a Bye?

We'll see. 4.5 is a lot of points to cover in Philly.

I don't think betting on your favorite team is good philosophy either. Good luck.

LOL @ Betting my favorite team. I bet to win money.

It's obvious you just throw darts at teams without any type of research. Which can work because of the "luck" factor, but I like going by stats, trends and betting on good QBs.

NE is 6-3 vs the spread. 8-1 overall. Coming off a loss Brady is 29-10 ATS 19-3 on the road.

No. Non liberal. Just know you are called Poor Caleb. Which is a great name. Based on your history of football picks, you probably are poor.

I didn't pay for any points. Just got my bets in earlier in the week. But smart nettors do by .5 points from time to time.

At least I was close on my Balt/Hou over. Jacksonville got waxed again.

I gave you facts and stats on why you shouldn't bet against Tom Brady. But you aren't smart enough.

Ravens -6
Colts -1
Jets -3.5

Some weird potential payouts on Bovada right now...picking the Colts to win gets you -115, but picking them at -1 (basically picking them to win), gets you -110.

Jets are 3.5 point favorites, but you get that line at +105 right now...never seen a favorite get a + on the line before.

Pick the Giants this week and PROFIT!

Got a call from one of my boy's in the gritty NY scene.

You will see some very "Peculiar" things there tomorrow.

Thank me later.

I bet Indi at -1 last night over Tennessee, now I see they went to +1 today. Wonder how that line swung two points in just hours.

Im not sure, likely a bunch of money swinging the line the other way in a short amount of time. I think Tenn is the better team even on the road. Tannehill is playing like a pro bowler.
