.......that the NFL doesn’t do everything in their power to tilt the field for certain teams (players) to make the playoffs.

They’ll get the benefit of every questionable call

- Beebe gets drilled seconds after tackled. No call
- Harrison touches anybody’s helmet. Personal foul
- Clock miraculously stopped with 1 second left
- First PI call on a Hail Mary since 2009.
- ^ Missed Gronk grabbing the face mask on same play
- Cousins blasted in the head....Holding, Vikings

When Buster Fucking Olney is calling it out.....yeah

The NFL needs Brady in the playoffs. Especially this year.

You missed the first one. Stadium clock operator got away with freezing clock at 1 second. Officials on the field almost always catch that and correct it. That was baffling.

The Beebe non call was brutal and I am really, really sick of Cousins getting hit in head and no penalty. That has happened way too many times. Rest I thought were questionable, not egregious.

Yep. You are correct. Not egregious, but certain teams/players will get them every fucking time. I mean, this is absolutely fucking brutal.

I think that NFL officals have a subconcious bias for some teams and are looking for certain penalties. So they ignore the close ones against certain teams: Packers, Steelers, Cowboys and interpret the results in their favor.

Other teams they target. Harrison Smith is being targeted. On that personal foul he did nothing wrong. PLAYED IT EXACTLY THE WAY THE NFL WANTS. Still a penalty.

I agree with this.

I don’t think it’s rigged. But these are humans and the human element comes in. A guy like Brady has been around and probably has good relationships with all the refs. Kirk is a damn weirdo. Not surprising who the refs subconsciously prefer.

But if I ever thought for a second the league was legit rigged, I’d stop watching.

I do not complain about the refs too much, but every now and then they deserve it.

I third this. Nothing coordinated, no conspiracy, but there is bias.

nfl refereeing has been a bone of contention for decades. i think the study they did years ago showed a home field bias to their calls. the hitman has a target on his jersey this year as well.

100% agreed. Just like last year the WWE (err NFL) wanted the Packers in the playoffs after missing the previous 2 seasons. How many Bakthiari's false start and/or holding calls were not called. The best was the Monday night game against Detroit when the refs called hands to the face on the Detrot defender (Trey Flowers maybe?) but the reply shows Bakthiari hands on the facemask which resulted in almost pushing off the Detroit players helmet.

The NFL generates 16 Billion dollars annually in revenue. With that amount of money there is no way all is in "good faith"

And what is it you think they do? Tell the refs to blow calls? What?
How do you swallow your whistle on the Beebe hit?
How can you miss the shot to the head on Cousins?
How does the clock magically get stopped with 1 second?

I mean, refs are looking directly at those plays.

And the first PI call on a Hail Mary since 2009?

You think they make that call if Tyler Conklin is running down the field? Not a fucking chance. He’ll, even Gronk wasn’t looking for a flag.

I’m all ears, Bob. Explain it away.

I don't recall if they called it twice on the same drive (probably did) but I do recall the camera's zooming into Matt Patricia saying "they had to punt". After said call, I turned the game off since there was no way the WWE would allow Detroit to beat Green Bay when playing at Green Bay

If you are for on team, but definition you are against the other.

You are the one making the conspiracy claim, you back it up. Do you also think Las Vegas is in on it too?

How bout Dak Prescott? Was the fix in to give him a season ending injury? Why wouldn’t the NFL want the Cowboys in the playoffs?

The bias is very subtle. The Bkthiari-Flowers call is an example.

Another example I like to use is a call that happened last season I think. Stephan Diggs appeared to have caught a low pass along the sidelines. The side judge comes sprinting up on the play and vehemently starts pounding the turf indicating that the ball hit the ground and the play was incomplete. He was incredibly demonstrative on the call. The only problem was, he was absolutely wrong. The ball never hit the turf. Replay confirmed it was a reception and the Vikings got a first down.

But, if that is a Packer, or Steeler, or Cowboy, or any Tom Brady team, they call that pass complete. They just assume it in the first place. Same thing for the Vikings (unless they played the Saints, and Hurricane Katrina you know) when we had Brett Favre.

I think the evidence is beyond clear that this happens.

I think this is accurate. The fix isn’t in per se but there is a bias.

I gave you the evidence, you dope. And then I asked you to explain it away. And I’m still waiting.
I can’t. Your evidence is irrefutable. The refs couldn’t possibly have seen is differently that you. The only reasonable explanation is that the is a conspiracy at work here that makes the JFK assassination pale by comparison

Btw, What sport are you reffing and at what level?

You’ve been given numerous examples and you won’t even comment on them.

2009 - Viking vs Saints

Sure would be beneficial for the city of NO to make the SB.

Numerous roughing penalties uncalled right in the face of the officials. Phantom PI on Leber. Refusal to recheck the spot on a clear fumble.

Explain it away, Bob.

You have convinced me. How else can I say it? Now we need to know which stars the NFL is going to get into the playoffs.
Obviously, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Drew Brees is HOF and running out of time, so we can assume the Saints. mahommes is a given, and is Jackson. Calvin Cook and Travis Henry are the best running backs, so the NFL will want to showcase them. Who am I missing?

Yeah it's a conspiracy against the Queens.

Because in the NBA, NHL and MLB there is no "star" treatment.

Giving the Saints forward progress on the 4th-2 play was literally applying the rules of football incorrectly. The ball carrier lost possession of the ball and the ball was recovered short of the first down marker. It should have been Minnesota's ball, 1st-10 at our own 43 yard line. Without a doubt.

The next play was a phantom defensive pass interference call on Ben Leber.

The next play the Vikings stop Reggie Bush for -5 yards, making it 2nd and 15. Then there is a pass to Robert Meachum for 12 yards that there is no way you can convince me he caught the fucking football. Replay "upheld" the call but that was because there wasn't conclusive evidence of the pass being incomplete and exactly why that bias is so important. This got the Saints into field goal range and they won the game.

We are not talking about jsut some judgement plays on roughing the passer. But a complete sequence of plays that all went in the Saints favor.
