If we could get a first for Cousins it would save this entire organization. Package that first with our other one and maybe a future one to move to the top of the draft. You know we won't tank. We will be just bad enough to pick like #3 and then take a corner or some overrated lineman.

That would mean the only thing that would hit our cap is the other portion of the signing bonus that we paid out that hasn't hit our books yet, which is $20M. Thus I calculate the cap hit for us at $20M if we trade him, not the entire $41M that we would take on if we cut him.

$20M dead cap hit is affordable for one season.
