Predictors: Vikings@Packers

Post by RubeTube »

Cot damn! Already Thursday night and more talk about this tilt over at BEL, What gives, Skoldgers?

Time to lay your prediction down below!

I've got the White Claws ready for this tilt. IT'S A BORDER BATTLE **Chris Berman voice** and me and the homies are JACKED UP!

David Bahktari was a scratch at todays practice and that would really change the complexion of this tilt.

My heart is telling me GB is due. They haven't beat the Vikings in nearly 3 years. But my head is telling ke we are the superior team.

There will DEFINITELY be some strange calls in this one against our club but it won't be enough for GB to overcome.

Vikings 27

Packers 17

Running game gets a bit clogged up against GB but Kirk UNLOADS!!

330 yds passing and 3 TDs

MONSTER day from Diggs.

Now a word from Brother Coleman.....

Triumphalism... A word in our daily deeds. What does it mean today? When 53 go up against all odds against a king to make a group effort to dethrone him on his home turf.

Deuteronomy 20:4 states....

"For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”

The Vikings will get up on the Packers early. Probably winning by a very Viking-esque lead of 13 points going into the fourth quarter. They'll let their foot off the throttle (they're never comfortable beating down anyone) and Aaron will make plays left and right to give them a 3 point lead. It will come down to Bailey at the end....and who knows.

My guess is that Rahgers will march the Pack right down the field for an early TD, then all bets are off.....

Packers had a few holding calls go against them in Chicago. Hopefully that trend continues, and they didnt use them all up in week 1.

If bakhtiari is out, things could get wild.

Mannion but fumbles the snap from Bradbury while Cousins is in the tent for concussion protocol late in the 4th quarter and Crosby seals the win.

Vikings take the win 27-17. Rodgers leads them to a late game potential TD but Harris intercepts the ball to seal the win.
GM Spielman:
  • Record 62-48-2 (.559 winning %)
  • Playoffs 1-3
  • 7 years - reached playoffs 3 times.
  • Winner of the North 2 of last 4 years
Zimmer is 48-33-1

This is a one possession game either way.

Their defense is much improved, and I don't have a ton of faith in our passing game as of yet.

20-14 Packers, I'll say.

23-13 Vikings

The Packers are still trying to figure out their identity on offense. Is Rodgers patient enough to let it work out organically or is he going to start forcing things? The run game is going to continue to struggle there.

Cousins will have a fine game but it will be Cook and Mattison who run the Vikings' engine offensively. Cook will get 130+ total yards of offense and Mattison will find the end zone twice.

Vikings 24

Packers 16

Cousins gets 200 yards, and 2 TD's

Diggs get 80 Yds and a score

Dalvin gets 120, but Mattison gets the TD

Hunter breaks Erin's vagina on another rollout that didnt need to happen while getting 2 sacks.

Trae gets a pick.

The GB defense gets exposed when they face an offense that doesnt look like a D3 teams backups.

I think we win. We’re a more complete team than GB.

I’ll say 27-16 or something like that.

No concern of no Mack or Hughes?

Jayron truly shined in the preseason. It's his turn.

CB depth is an issue currently, but the Packers have very little that worries me past Devante Adams. So this is a game where I'd be more worried if everyone else was healthy, but Rhodes was down. I'm a big Kearse fan and I think this game will come down to who stops the other team's running game and in run support: Kearse > Alexander.

I'm reasonably confident we're the better team. Not overconfident. But I think we are more talented than they are.

Agreed.

Really want to get to 2-0 with the Raiders at home after this.

Very good post, I agree with every aspect. Not sure the score, but I think we win fairly easily. One of those 5-10 point games but isnt as close as score indicates.
