Predictors: Falcons@Vikings

Post by RubeTube »

I thought since we have the Packers and Bears prediction thread over at BEL, it's time to get it started in PC.

With so much "Faux" outrage going on over players and draft picks that won't amount to a fart in a stiff breeze, let's get into the meat and potatoes here.

Give us your final score and any key moments AKA Hot Takes that go along with it.

I'll start....

These two teams imo, will be the playing each other in the NFCCG. This will be a true test early for our purple and gold. I would be happy with a split in the first two weeks.

Vikings 30

Falcons 29

This will be a shootout. Vikings defense will not look good against this offensive powerhouse but our offense will bail us out.

Cook goes for 190 total yds and 2 TDs.

20-16 Vikes.

I think there will be some sub par football across the league this first week with low scores.

Cook and Rudy score. Bailey with a late 40 yarder to force a Falcon TD drive try.

Barr and Hunter sacks. Controversial fumble ruling somewhere against Atlanta.

In an odd low scoring game, Bailey misses two FG's early, but nails a 48 yarder late that seals the game. Kicking game remains the subject of this team.

The first two weeks of the season are usually so odd with lots of upsets and scores no one can predict. I can easily predict that no matter the outcome the typical rubes will be in here complaining even if the vikings win.

I am hoping for a win. 27-17.
GM Spielman:
  • Record 62-48-2 (.559 winning %)
  • Playoffs 1-3
  • 7 years - reached playoffs 3 times.
  • Winner of the North 2 of last 4 years
Zimmer is 48-33-1

Seem to recall that opening games often times are lackluster and lower scoring as the regulars try to find their timing since they don't play much in the pre-season. If this team truly has extended playoff aspirations they HAVE to win this one, and I for one don't care if they win 10-9 or 40-0, just as long as they come out on top. So here's hoping for a Bears beatdown of the Pack on Thursday and a Vikes "W" on SUnday!

It seems to take offenses longer to get the timing down than defenses, at the start of the year. Vikings at home will be tough. I'm going 23-17 Vikings. ATL will have the ball inside of 2 minutes with a chance to win, but the Vikings D will hold.

IDK score or who’s going to win, but it comes down to Rhodes vs Jones again. In the past Rhodes has shut down Julio, but Rhodes doesn’t look like his old self of late.

I feel like Cousins will have a career day. We will win the game by two touchdowns and people will breathe easy for a few days.

We score on the first two drives and never look back. Week one will build hope around this place.

Let me take a wild guess, you're predicting the Vikes to lose 37-6 and the Vikes will go 0-16/
