Meh. How much did the Skins win with him?
Huge salary, going to be over 30.
Great player and all for it but in our situation, doesn't really fit.

He was the #21 left tackle in the league according to PFF.
Reiff was #23.
So, if you place any credence on PFF, they are saying the two are essentially the same.

We can't even sign our own players and people want to trade for someone that will get at least $10 million per year. Jesus Christ.

I doubt they want Reiff and his salary back. Also, Reiff might ve willing to restructure next year.mglviks wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2019 9:33 pmI didnt say sign him. I'm just saying with the cap so tight, I'm not trying to give a Olinemen that kind of dough.
Sure I would swap him and Reiff for the year but that's not happening.

I'm assuming the Vikes would have to release a guy to free up $5 million to stay under the cap.

I wood if our cap allowed it and move Reiff to LG and Elf to RG.
But it doesn't.
But it doesn't.

I would think Reiff profiles as more of a RG than Elflein would, but don’t know how Reiff would adjust to moving sides.whiskerbiscuit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 12:56 pm I wood if our cap allowed it and move Reiff to LG and Elf to RG.

I had to stop and think for a second who the RG is. Can't wait to see this Josh Kline guy. And he has guaranteed money after 2019. Gross.whiskerbiscuit wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 12:56 pm I wood if our cap allowed it and move Reiff to LG and Elf to RG.

Spielman's history of mid rd OL doesn't make me optimistic.

Re: LT Trent Williams available
Just because Trent Williams wants to be traded doesnt mean he is actually available.
I certainly would take him if the physical aspect is figured out. Even at his age, when healthy he is a pretty dang good LT.
It comes down to the moves it would take. I dont think Washington would want Reiff back. I think they would want Cap relief and draft picks.
Lets say we can get Williams for a 3rd and 4th round pick... Doubt he is even close to that cheap, but hypothetically.
We then would probably need to try and trade Reiff and Rudolph. No idea if a team would be willing to take on Reiff. Might cost us an additional pick.
Get maybe a 4th rounder for Rudy....
So something like
OUT: Reiff, Rudy, 5th rounder(with Reiff), 3rd rounder(for Williams), 4th Rounder-2021(for Williams)
IN: Williams, 4th Rounder(for Rudy)
Not a great mind so no idea if the $$ works or anything, just spitballing.

Trent Williams actually makes more in salary than Reiff, I believe.
