I loved Cunningham too. It was a dream for me that he put on purple.
He really only had one good year though and didn't even start two full year's. That's why I don't put Favre on my list.
In my lifetime of multiple season's it's. .
Culpepper
Cousins
Moon
And it's not really close if you are not talking one year wonders from the start of the 90's until now.

There is no top QB but Fran.
Distant second is Culpepper, Kramer, Wilson

I grew up watching Kramer and Wilson. Kramer was probably my longtern favorite but loves that magical season from Farve too.
Culpepper is right there with Kramer for me.

Fran was obviously the only perennial top 3 guy we've ever had. Too bad that was before I was born. Would've been nice to see that.
Cunningham
Favre
Both had one very memorable year for me, but one year wonders aren't going to make the cut.

Favre or Culpepper. So far I liked Bradford more than Cousins too.

Re: Favorite Vikings Quarterback
Why? I think they are pretty similar, but Cousins has a few more wins under his belt. Also, Cousins' knee isn't as bad as Bradford's.
I feel like Bradford and Cousins both look great passing, but lack winning instinct. Guys like Keenum and Bridgewater look awful passing, but they have winning instincts. A guy like Favre had both. Culpepper was awesome, but suffered through horrible teams. Our defense was awful and the team jettisoned Randy too soon. I feel horrible for Daunte's treatment while here. Childress really messed up our quarterback situation for many years after. Spielman is a remnant of that failed era.
Cunningham would have been awesome in year two had Billick stayed or if Chip Meyers hadn't died. The next OC had always coached Jeff George and that was his guy. Randall Cunningham was the most fun quarterback to watch - which I was a fan back to his days at UNLV. His ability to scramble, but to be able to sling it was awesome. Buddy Ryan let him call the plays at the line, but Richie Kotex was a total failure. I loved The Eagles back in the Cunningham era!

It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

Keenum has a losing record, and fewer 4th quarter comebacks than the "stat padding garbage time" QB Kirk Cousins.cunningham wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 10:30 amWhy? I think they are pretty similar, but Cousins has a few more wins under his belt. Also, Cousins' knee isn't as bad as Bradford's.
