What's your point? No shit we will probably lose a couple we didn't think we would and win one or two we thou g we would lose.

Really odd to play all three divisional road games before our first divisional home game.

Bears at home again to close the season.

Think it will come down to that game again?

At least our Thursday game is at home. It’s after a road game (unlike last year when the rams got us at home after being at home). Plus it’s right after the Detroit game. So after a noon game at Detroit, short flight home for a Thursday home game.

No. Bears will be 9-7 or 8-8

Packer game will be more important the week before. Book it!

I would take that. It wins the division and possibly gives you a chance at a bye.

I'm saying they lose all the primetime games for sure, a knock on Kirk poor record in such games

They would have to win every other game. Which wont happen either.

I would give Kirk props if we win 11, regardless of how we got there, but I see your point too.

At first blush it looks like the boys are going to play 16 games again this year.
We should know more about the schedule difficulty in about 8 months. Stay tuned.

I will be quite happy with 11 wins. Anywhere from 9 to 11 wins and the post season is what I expect.
GM Spielman:
  • Record 62-48-2 (.559 winning %)
  • Playoffs 1-3
  • 7 years - reached playoffs 3 times.
  • Winner of the North 2 of last 4 years
Zimmer is 48-33-1

I will be shocked if we get 9 wins. If we get to 10 wins I will believe in Cousins. If we go below 9 wins this entire thing will go off the rails. This will be like Childress/Moss "all-in."

I love Zimmer as a coach and hate that his destiny is tied to Cousins.

If this team gets to 11 wins I will make Kirk Cousins my avatar. Hell, I'll buy a Kirk Cousins' jersey and personally apologize to the posters who stuck by him so religiously here.

I really like the schedule lay-out. The home schedule lays out beautifully to go 8-0 at home. The 3 "coldest" cities are all early. Split the @GB/@Chi. Should beat Giants. At Detroit can be tricky, but who knows (With Matt Stafford's wife issues I don't even know a guarantee is plays.) But Regardless it is winnable. They could be 7-1 going into the "mini" bye. 6-2 worse case.

2nd half.. If they take care of all the home games (very likely) Bears "could" be meaningless game for one or both teams) that points them at 11-1 or 10-2 before looking at the 4 tough road games.

Play KC after mini Bye.. Dallas I think they match up good against. Split that. I think they beat Chargers. Seattle could be tough. But they come out of a bye and Seattle plays a SNF in Philly week before.

Maybe I am crazy but I don't think 12-4 is out of question. Provided avoid the major injuries and Kirk proves he is a top 13 QB.

I personally don't think the schedule could be laid out any better. Maybe bye is a week or two too late..

Basically the season (And their Superbowl window) all relies on Cousins. He will have all the pieces and no excuses to prove he is more than a fantasy QB. Kirk either puts up or shuts out this season.

Bookmarked

For the record, I don't see them getting to 11 wins either, but not because of Kirk. The defense line is getting old, and the OLine still looks like a dumpster fire. The draft might change my feelings about both lines, but as of today, both have me nervous.

I'm not going to predict wins/losses until training camp.

Kind of surprised that they have so many prime time games this year. I'll take it!

It is hard to predict. 5 prime time games with a horrible prime time quarterback and coach scares me a ton. Our o-line has sucked for an extremely long time. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. Our team keeps doing the same thing year after year.

I just don't have hope going into this season. I really didn't have much hope going into the Keenum, NFC Championship season, because of Bradford either. The best thing that happened to this team was when Bradford got injured. Bradford sucked. Just like when Brad Johnson blew his knee and Cunningham came in... It has taken injuries to get this team the farthest at certain times. Partially because teams stick with crappy quarterbacks way too long. Look at the year when Gus led this team to the playoffs, TJoke came in, and then splat... One good game against the Cardinals (When they had no film on TJoke) led to like two more years of suffering with that POS at QB.

This is a tough schedule for this team. We need a stud running back unless Cook all of a sudden ends his injury bugs.

Will this be the year the Vikings finally switch up their uniforms? They're the only team in the NFL who has NOT worn a different jersey combination the last 2 years. The last time they wore their color rush jerseys was in 2016 on TNF against the Cowboys. Please bring back the all white or all purple combos. Quit being boring!

I agree. The schedule looks tough but the Vikings seem to be getting the scheduling breaks this year that they hadn't seen in the past few years. Their only "cold season" road games are in Seattle on 12/2 after a bye and in Los Angeles. Those will both be tough games, but if I had to pick the scenarios that lays out perfectly. And I really don't mind the late bye.
