Re: 2018 Froob All-Time NFL Draft - Norn_Iron is on the clock!
QB Russell Wilson
Well deserved to be included in this draft. Special player.
RB Priest Holmes
Small peak, but has a 3 year window as great as any. Did everything well ie block, catch, run. Broke TD record with 27 in a year. Bruiser short yardage back to mix with Curtis Martin.
WR Demarious Thomas
Think he still available? Great size, strength, speed, hands. Might be starting his decline. But was one of the leagues best for a good 5 years. My 4th wr with Andre Johnson, Torry Holt, Wes Welker.
OG Quenton Nelson
A rookie who may not deserve consideration for an all time selection. But had perhaps the best rookie OG showing ever. Certainly a foresight trajectory, but future as of now could be greatest ever.
Bench:
Tough as I like soooo many.
OLB Greg Lloyd
An ol favorite. Lloyd has the size of an weakside backer but played as if he was 6'6 250 with the speed of a safety. All 90s team. A fearce qb eater. Well deservent of being selected in this draft. Could let him not.
Last pick I really want to take a position player here. But Im gonna go with a player who may not reflect in terms of madden. But if I was building a team I would want this guy.
ST demon and the greatest gunner of all time.
Plenty say just greatest ST player all time. NFL.co ranked #9 on player not in the HOF.

If any of these guys have been selected, let me know. I think I have all positions filled also.
Robert Porcher was a guy I wanted but didnt have room for.
Put me as a 3-4 defense Ash.
Hill as my KR and PR.

Buffalo selects
RG Kevin Gogan-paired with Erik William's reforms that side of the Great Wall of Dallas. Straight nasty, the type of guy you want as your 5th man on your line. Street fighter! Multi pro bowler and All Pro.
KR/3DB Darren Sproles-The premium all time 3rd down back, also an all time great Return man. 9000 yards from scrimmage, 20,000 all purpose yards, and
K Nick Lowry-Most accurate kicker of his generation which included Gary and Morten Anderson only big kick Nick never spent a season kicking indoors! 3 Pro Bowl, 3 All pro, and 71 career TDs which is nice for a guy that was never the featured back.
P Marquette King-Who cares, I'm not going to have to punt!
DL Dan Hampton-The Danimal! How does arguably the most important piece to the best D ever slip here? I drafted DL early or would have taken this horse long ago!

Like the Joiner pick. Not so much Robert Smith pick. Homer. Way better rbs still avail.

Re: 2018 Froob All-Time NFL Draft - Norn_Iron is on the clock!
With its final pick in the first ever all time froob NFL Draft the Cincinnati Mr Bungles select Riley Odoms, TE, Denver Broncos. 4x pro bowl 2x all pro.
QB 1 -Jim Kelly: a perfect 1A QB and offensive leader. Dont let the 4 super bowl losses fool you, they only had one honest shot, and my man did what he could to win that game.
QB 2 - Bernie Kosar another underrated cold blooded individual who had to live under the Cleveland curse
RB 1 - Tony Dorset: the definition of a do it all game changing running back.
RB 2 - Christian Okoye when your change up is a 240 lb 4.4 running back with an attitude, things start looking good.
RB3: Robert Smith. I'm sure you can run down the list of college track stars/ RB's that abused dummies between the tackles in the NFL. That's defintely a thing. And the best thing is all the guys that can do that understand complex blocking schemes and contribute effortlessly in the passing game. Happens all the time.
FB - Jim Kleinsasser: Block Dummy!! The Nigerian Nightmare will also line up here as needed. Enjoy a Dorsett, Smith, Okoye backfield.
WR 1 - Steve Smith: one of the craftiest and most Machiavellian wide receivers in history. The difference is that he didnt have to be, he was already a superior athlete... then he went mad hatter on the bit. Hes our 1A, and can dominate on the outside, but make no mistake, we'll be lining him up in the slot whenever your nickelback needs a lesson. We're not proud, just savage.
WR 2 - Irving Fryar: the template and foundation of our passing game. A sure thing, everytime, every game, on the outside.
WR 3 - Keyshawn Johnson: our base mismatch and 3rd down/red zone specialist.
WR 4 - Charlie Joiner: we'll just put this hall of Famer in our back pocket for whenever we wanna screw with a defense. Or in the slot every time stevie sets up outside, or on the outside with Key at TE when you wanna play zone
WR 5 - Devin Hester Fryar and joiner on tha outside with Smith and Hester in the slots. Put Dorsett in the backfield and Ditka on the line
TE 1 - Mike Ditka- anyone want a pass catching specialist to break your nose for you? How bout one that invented what they teach your guy. Plus a broken nose.
TE 2: Riley Odoms. Perhaps Denvers best player for years. A true dual threat.
My TEs ain't stretchin the field but they are all sure handed extra lineman that spend all day working seams and the underneath while beating the crap out of your linebackers.
OT 1 - Jason Peters. The kind of undrafted uber athletic psychopath that would enjoy being on an island.
OG 1 - Zach Martin: yall need to back up.
C 1 - Travis Frederick: I SAID BACK UP!
OG 2 - Marco Rivera: the basis of running to the right.
OT 2 - Terron Armstead: if he can stay healthy, there's not
a better line out there.
The offense is obviously running game heavy with a bunch of all around opportunists in the passing game. It'll be up to the line to dominate, or not. However, we'll push the no huddle and hurry up rules to the limits with young, athletic lineman and smart/perceptive and combination adept players at skill positions. We expect a conceptual ehrhardt perkins offense on an up tempo style.
DE 1 - Chris Doleman: coming soon to a terrified Qb near you. Like, real soon.
DT 1 - Cortez Kennedy: ever wonder what that amazing guitarist could do with a decent band.....
DT 2 - Ted Washington: I'm gonna need at least 2 of you guys' undivided attention.
DE 2 - Ed "Too Tall" Jones ya'll just gonna ignore Lieutenant Hightower? That should work out
OLB 2 - Wilber Marshal: elite coverage linebacker.
MLB 1 - Ray Lewis : The true team leader, and his presence means nothing less than every other person will show up with the best of themselves on display, and beyond that that they'll do it because they want to. No one has your back when your doing it up good like Ray, no ones a bigger monster when you're not. Oh, and...death to those who would force you backwards.....
OLB 3 - Mike Merriweather: pro bowler on the outside in a 3-4 and 4-3. We'll call him a savant. Our secret weapon. The Harrison Smith of this roster.
LB 4 - Peter Boulware: when we eatin'? Someone said there was fresh meat behind the line of scrimmage... could someone point me that way?
CB 1 - Dick "Night Train" Lane: who likes broken bones? Oh and inventing ways of seriously injuring people?
CB 2 - Charles "Peanut" Tillman: who likes forced fumbles? oh and being the only one that drove Randy Moss nuts?
SS 1 - Troy Palamalu: or as McAfee calls him "The Angel Of Death"
FS 2 - Darren Sharper: yall just gonna let me roam
CB 3 - Audray McMillan, home pick and I'm not sorry for it. A solid one in his time, and the kind of nickel that ain't scared to hit someone.
This defense is all about versatility. Any combination can play any combination. Of course we have our "you're fucked" players. Lewis, Palamalu, Doleman, and Lane come to mind, but it's big Ted that makes it work. Automatic double team to contain his 380lb ass from collapsing everything upon itself, and that only works most of the time. Mean while all my Hall of Famers, my psychopaths, guys who made tackles that were soon outlawed, are guaranteed one on one or roaming match ups. I mean.. when the guy on my line that you're not worried about is the 6 foot 9 inch undefeated professional heavyweight boxer; when my least concerning linebackers are otherworldly pass rushers or one of the best, most adaptable players in history; when the guy in the backfield you attack reinvented stripping the ball... thats game over.
1 K - Sebastian Janikowski. The best part is that since he doesn't give a crap, he feels no pressure. As a Vikings fan, I can respect that.
1 P - Jeff Feagles: the first and greatest doctor of spin. Enjoy 55 yard blasts that die on the 2 yard line.
1 KR/PR - Devin Hester: so we startin at the 40 and If someone slips we got 6, that's seems like what we're doing
HC Bill Parcells
OC Marv Levy
DC Buddy Ryan.

Re: 2018 Froob All-Time NFL Draft - Norn_Iron is on the clock!
QB Fran Tarkenton
HOF, 9x PB. MVP. All 60s and All 70s team. Local fav. His stats are still top level. 11th in pass yards, 9th in TDs, 8th in comebacks, 10th in total offense. Wanted a mobile QB to pair with Peyton. Fran certainly gives me that. Couldve easily been a starter out of 16 teams.
RB Shaun Alexander
MVP. All 2000s team. TDs in a year leader with 27 rushing and 28 overall. Not the longest career but 100 TDs and big game homerun hitter. Wanted a big bruiser to compliment Thurman Thomas.
TE Dallas Clark
Peyton sure wouldnt mind having him as his #2. Just a pure pass catcher. Has a 100 yard catch season under his belt twice double digit TDs.
LB Jessie Tuggle "The Hammer"
5x PB. #1 All time in Solo tackles, #4 in combo tackles.
Heavy hitter who played without regard to his body. He hit everyone as hard as he could everytime. #1 tackler all time needs to be rostered in this draft. I run a 43 so still just my #4.
P Pat McAfee
7th all time in yards per punt. Great a pinning it. Known for his charismatic personality. Multiple fake punts both run and pass. Also not affraid to tackle. Another peyton buddy who would lift any locker room. Has done some stand up comedy.
KR/PR Dante Hall
The Human Joystick
Surprised he has gone yet. Electric and exciting as any. Prolific both in kick and punt returns. Had perhaps the best 2 year stretch ever. Also not bad as a wr.

Never even occurred to me Clark might still be out there. I've gotta admit to a certain level of no longer gives a fucks, but that's some nice back end picking right there.mglviks wrote: ↑Sat Jan 05, 2019 10:01 pm QB Fran Tarkenton

Re: 2018 Froob All-Time NFL Draft - Norn_Iron is on the clock!
Sproles would be such a great fit with Warner! For never being a featured guy 60+ TDs is impressive. Hampton played all positions across the line, was a 5 time All Pro, All Decade, Hall of Famer and the 1982 PFW Defensive Player of the Year. A couple of D-Lineman from that Bears team that should have been picked! Whose going to take Mongo!
