For those of you wanting to play 3-4 base, you’ll have to let me know so I can set it that way in Madden, otherwise your OLBs will be destroyed in coverage.

 Fuckin love it.

An all time great WR at this point.
It's been 32 years since one of MN's four major sports teams has been to the Championship/Superbowl.
Every single year is failure until we win one. 4 teams, 32 years. That's roughly 128 consecutive failed seasons.

Top ranked receiver in the league this year.....top 10 last year...hes already in Madden so unless Ash is going to downgrade him, im pretty happy

Also, I don't live in the US so its starting to get tricky for me, now the big names have gone. I only took over someones team when the repeatedly missed their picks

Difficult to choose. Hard to pass on some.

But

NT Haloti Ngata 6'4 340 5 probowls 5 All pros
One of leagues all time space eaters.

OG Ruben Brown 6'4 300
9 probowls 4 All pros
Few OGs have as many pro bowl appearances.

I forgot Ruben Brown existed! He was very good! Thats what happens when you are forced to waste away in Buffalo.

Not the sexiest picks. Just ones that helps my team. And helps others around them to succeed.

along that same line, great quote from Jordan Matthews about his time in Buffalo...

“When I was in Buffalo, there was like nothing to do there, except … have fun with your wife. She got pregnant. So we always say we got a Buffalo baby. Ain’t nothing to do there, except each other,”

haha.

Ted Hendricks was a great pick this late and should have gone much earlier. If I didn't have Brooks and Ham I would have taken him a few rounds ago! Hendricks also the all time leader in blocked field goals. One of the smartest and nastiest coverage and run stoppers in the history of the game!

With its first selection in the eleventh (edited) round the Baltimore Ravens select a certain Tight End who later coached a certain team in a certain city known as.....
images (45).jpeg
One of the meanest bastards to ever play the game he also revolutionized the Tight End position ushering in the pass catching touchdown machines we know and love today.

With its second pick the Baltimore Ravens select
images (43).jpeg
Darren Sharper

Sure hes a terrible person, but with a murderer leading the defense we can hardly cast stones and instead add one of the most feared free safeties of all time.

QB Jim Kelly
RB Tony Dorsett
WR Steve Smith
TE Mike Ditka
OT Jason Peters
OG Zach Martin

DTCortez Kennedy
DT Ted Washington
DE Chris Doleman
MLB Ray Lewis
CB Teh Night Train
SSTroy Palamalu
FS Darren Sharper

and for the record both my teams will be base 4-3's

Which brings up a decent question. Are peoples playing and coaching careers considered separate? I would assume they are, but if I so choose can I make Ditka coach my squad?

Separate.

We won’t be choosing coaches for the squads on Madden. Too hard to create coaches for everyone.

I’m open to selecting coaches as part of this, but they won’t appear on the sidelines on Madden.

I guess I could, but there’s limited body/face/likeness options for coaches, so it would be kind of dumb.

We are going to complete our starting secondary with this one...

S Darren Woodson

We will take a all 90's NFC Central WR core. We will add this guy with Sterling Sharpe. A favorite of mine.

With the 1st of 2 picks the Buffalo Gold Jackets select a guy I have been debating taking for about the last 5 times I've picked Mr. Lee Roy Selmon Defensive End!

Selmon was the anchor of some really bad Bucs defenses that were on the field a ton due to some of the worst offenses Tampa produced in NFL history. He led the Bucs to 2 conference championships during his time there which was a great accomplishment and growth compared to where their expansion started. This guy was a load agaist the pass or run, didn't matter, he was usually the best player on the field. Hall of Famer, former Defensive Player of the year, 6x Pro Bowler, 5 times All Pro, All 80s decade team, Pro Bowl MVP, 742 tackles, 78.5 sacks and 28 forced fumbles in his 9 year career. Can't believe a guy with his profile is still available.

Next pick coming in a few.

With my second selection I pick Erik Williams Right Tackle. Erik was the most dominant lineman from the famed "great wall of Dallas". He was mean and he was nasty and was one of the few that physically dominated Reggie White and got under his skin. Also gave Bruce Smith his in two Super Bowl dominations. Likely becomes one of the greatest of All time if a nearly fatal car accident in 1994 doesn't derail his career. 4 pro bowls, 3x All pro (twice after the accident), and 3x champ, paved the way for a historic running back. Was also a guy Strahan went into great depth about during his Hall of Fame speech.
